no they sent them in the post! with a stamp, a distrust of technology.
Whats wrong with the use of a cheque,it is still a recognised method of payment as far as I am aware.
not everyone has a credit card or wishes to carry large amounts of cash.
You may jest but as I say until its cleared funds it can't be applied over to the deposit.in S 38 T 2 F 50

To be honest, I don't think there is much point. I've just used these for the first time after getting fed up with my old ones! My Dad is also renting out my grandparents house around the corner from mine and when I asked who his letting agents were he told me but said they're not very good! So that's 3 local letting agents (who I think are all national companies by the way - 2 of them definitely are!) who have all turned out to substandard!
I give up!0 -

In other news, I just had a text from my landlord for the house that I rent asking if we can "meet for a coffee". Sounds ominous!0

But the OP hasn't said it was paid by cheque!
Whenever I've paid a deposit for a flat, the letting agent has required cash or debit card or a bank transfer done there and then or (back in the mists of time) a banker's draft. All cleared funds because a personal cheque might bounce so not acceptable.0 -
