We’re more confident for travel next year. Have Barcelona booked for next June, which was carried over from this year , which was carried over from last year. Starting to have a look for a weeks holiday abroad for next July. Easyjet prices aren’t bad at the moment. People I know who have gone abroad this year have enjoyed it and said they are glad they have done it, so fingers crossed for next year.x

DGD has been watching You Tube tutorials on how to cut your own hair. While DIL was out and DS was looking after the kids, she has managed to give herself a rather haphazard layered haircut 😱 DS was out of the room bathing DGS at the time. Her hairdresser is going to do what she can but she might have to go short. Reminds me of the time when DS cut off DD’s fringe with some plastic scissors, they were 4 and 2 at the time and it was just before we were going on holiday 😩

Unfortunately the fizz is sold out 😢 What a shame. The gin is still in stock though.

Fizz and gin sounds good mate - how sweet is the fizz?

Fml re the grandkids, funny though. I can remember my sister doing a number on dolls hair when we were kids - it was all she ever did with them, cut their hair very !!!!!! badly and for some reason my parents thought it was amazing. Good !!!!!! job she didn't become a hairdresser tbh.
  • Elderflower gin sounds amazing!

The fizz is dry @alt80, I like my wine bone dry, can’t drink sweet wine. Brand is Smith & Evans Higher Plot Somerset Pinot-Chardonnay. Always worth keeping an eye on The Dropstore as they do some amazing deals. Some good gift sets and merchandise for birthday/Christmas gifts too.

    Happy Sunday 🥳

Today should be NSD7 of August, struggling to hit double figures this month but always knew it was going to be a spendy one.

Didn’t get the spare room cleared yesterday so a job for today. We were out twice with the dog yesterday, the second walk was a long one. Mr SA is very restless, must be the brain injury, and he’ll go from dozing in his chair to having his coat on ready to go out in seconds. I can’t seem to make him understand we can’t keep going out constantly when there are things to do in the house.

Making a cherry tomato risotto for my dinner tonight as have quite a few cherry tomatoes ready for picking. Steak for Mr SA.

Need to make a list of jobs to do in the garden next week while the plasterer/painter is here. Hopefully the weather will be warm enough to sit on my sun lounger with a book at some stage. At least Mr SA won’t be pestering to go somewhere every day as we can’t really leave the work bloke on his own. I’m already wondering if I could get away with sneaking off out by myself 🤔
