How did it get to Sunday again!
Finally got to go on the park with the DGKs yesterday. They had a great time and although it was overcast it stayed dry. DGS was as good as gold for a change - it just shows when he's running about, sliding down slides and throwing the ball for the dog he's occupied and not up to mischief. Scary moment when Mr SA almost ran him over on his scooter though. This has now made DS GF more paranoid about him than ever. He just gets distracted so easily and his reaction are really slow - he's dangerous in crowds.
DS had left his dad's Fathers Day present/card at home on the kitchen worktop 25 miles away! His OH was so cross with him - she said he only had one thing to remember. Mr SA was disappointed so consoled him by buying him a pint at the pub on the way home and 4 cans of San Miguel from the dog. When we got home DS had left 4 cans of San Miguel and a card on the table outside. He rang later and said his conscience wouldn't let him not give his dad anything for Father's Day. Anyway Mr SA was over the moon as he now had 8 cans of San Miguel.
No sign of anything from DD yet though. She's gone to work and no doubt she'll come back with something. You always feel it's begrudgingly though.
On the subject of Father's Day, my half sister posted a message on FB with a picture of her dad saying love you loads etc. Felt a bit sad, he's also my dad but left when I was 14 and not heard from him since apart from the cheeky FB friend request a couple of years ago with no accompanying message!
Anyway I'm not dwelling on anything negative.
Finances done today, cc paid off apart from the holiday balance which will be cleared at the end of July. Still on track to stick to the budget which is brilliant to say I was £80 down from the start.
Halfway through my budget period and the totals are:
VSP £296.07
Holiday £300/£1422
MSP (my holiday fund) £26.55
Emergency fund £2000/£10,000
Debt £2400
4 AFDs, 4 NSDs
Weight loss 0.5/6lbs
You will notice I've started the holiday spend fund up again. Not planning on taking much above £50 as this holiday will be about relaxing in the sun not shopping. But the water shop also sells rather nice handbags
Would like to be 5lbs under goal weight too, so working on this. Lost half a pound yesterday. Need to tone up, get plenty of cardio but not so much toning, apart from the weekly Pilates.
So the plan is still to stick religiously to the budget. Anything left over will be rolled over to the end of the month for a treat day.
Holiday will be paid off this month and next with August and September for the spending money - we have just over !!!8364;100 left from Lanzarote so won't need to save as much as usual.
After the holiday, all spare money will be thrown at clearing the debt. Once that's clear it will be all about getting the EF up to £10k.
That's the plan.
Hope everyone is having a fab weekendI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -

She did Beanie - a card and a box of beer. Mr SA is happy as he's all stocked up now for the footie - although he said he'd have preferred San Miguel!!
According to Mr SA, I'm just the type of person this country doesn't need and years ago I'd have been thrown in the Tower of London - this is all because of the football :rotfl:
So tonight I'm painting my nails and streaming albums from Spotify ready for the week ahead - got Viva Summer, I love Ibiza and Best of Cafe del MarLove Spotify, well worth the £9.99 a month.
Can't believe it's back to another full working week againPlanning to go to the gym Monday, Pilates Wednesday and gym Friday on top of walking to and from work every day. Plus aiming for 2-3 AFDs and 2 NSDs.
Still determined to stick to the budget - I will do this.
Have a good week folksI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
