I feel your pain my hubby is really untidy I keep telling him when we move it’s going to all change he leaves everything all over and would make most things a dumping ground if he got away with it when we have moved stuff to take to the tip there’s more underneath it I bought a lovely shrub for a shady part of the garden right at the back a few years ago he kept putting empty pots and bits of wood up in the corner out of the way until you could barely see the shrub but if I kicked up a fuss he would dump them in the shed why most of them were broken I end up just giving up because it’s so hard to keep on top of everything I think that’s one of the reasons I will miss my garden so much now I have been ruthless and cleared it i realise how lovely it is3

Have spent all day gardening apart from taking the dog on the park across the road. I’ve been (a) gardening in a pair of gold sandals 🙀 and (b) outside all day in very warm sunshine with no sun cream on 🙀 Have a nice white stripe where my FitBit was 🤣 I don’t have fair skin and don’t burn thankfully.Tonight’s dinner is a homemade pizza with wedges and salad.
Mr SA had a fall in the garden and has a nice bruise brewing 😩
On a sadder note, my cousin is struggling to come to terms with losing her daughter😢The flowers should be delivered on Tuesday, not going to make her feel any better though. How do you come to terms with losing your daughter or son. I don’t think you do.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -
Doesn’t bare thinking about so sad3

So sorry about your cousin's daughter. I can't even imagine how to cope with the death of a child even when they are adult. The best advice I ever received was that time is a great soother (not a great healer as the saying usually is) but the passing of time can soothe the pain.3

I found it was easier when the first year had passed with my mum, when I could no longer say this time last year. Not sure how you cope with the loss of a child, whatever their age, doesn’t bear thinking about.

Happy Bank Holiday Monday 🥂
It will be another gardening day today. Have to fill the pots and cut the grass. It won’t be a NSD, got an Asda shop coming this afternoon. Good job I checked the order as I had two deliveries booked, one for today and one for tomorrow. I thought I’d changed Tuesday to today, apparently not 🤔 Also need to order a couple of rolls of garden screening as we had to take some down yesterday that was past its best. The wall between our house and the church next door isn’t the nicest so needs covering up. Wish I’d booked the rest of the week off work, got so much to do with the bedroom and garden.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
I do wonder if your husband plays up in some ways because he knows it’s going to !!!!!! you off mate no effort to close a wardrobe door.Weather was amazing yesterday but get the sun cream on today I sound like your mother fml but don’t take the risk doesn’t matter if you don’t burn. Lucky though.
Also doing a bit of work in the garden today and going to have a go at your banana loaf later. Keep on the right side ha.
No, I can’t imagine what it would be like to lose a child know you said you weren’t close to your cousin but maybe arrange a meet up or something bit of time away from dealing with it all.6 -
The sleeping Buddha is lovely as are the colour of your curtains......I couldn’t cope with such thin curtains though 😲 I have blackout curtains and blinds and still wake up at the first chink of light. The one advantage of winter is I sleep much better.
No gardening being done here as we have the path up and no hedges in the front.....hopefully it’ll be finished by the time we return from dds and I can sort my shady nook out in a bit of a wasted area. We’d half decided to make a little gazebo but think we’ll go along the route of a half parasol and fence panel with fairy lights on to devise the area and screen a potting area made with my old table 👍
Sorry Mr SA has had yet another fall. The flowers will let your cousin know you’re thinking of her, if nothing else 😥January spends - £587.583
