Good luck with the promotion and good news re windows/ scooter... what’s it’s 0-60?
29 years is a long time to live in a house. Parts of Gedling no !!!!!! chance of any developer even looking lol.
@RelievedSheff FML the roads had just been build and they never even considered it haha the sheer stupidity of people never fails to amaze me sometimes. There’s a big development in NG15 exactly the same, current residents (of 5 years old houses, irony not lost on me ha) up in arms about development.
I’m very pleased I live in a Conservation Area tbt.5 -
Morning, happy Saturday 🍾
Just been to the local shops to pick up a few bits, highlight of the day 😆 Will be taking the dog out shortly. We had a light dusting of snow but it’s only settled on the rooftops not the ground thankfully. Lovely and sunny now.Today’s exercise activity is 30 minutes HIIT cardio and core. It’s the last week of the HIIT challenge next week and I’ve really enjoyed it. I don’t know if it’s made any difference as I exercise all the time anyway.Tonight’s dinner is veggie burger, sweet potato wedges and salad. Prosecco is chilling in the fridge 🥂I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -

Enjoy your Prosecco. I was born and brought up on a council estate - lovely location, great flat and such lovely neighbours - I called them all aunty and uncle. I moved away 35 years ago and I don't suppose it's quite as nice now but I've got nothing but happy memories of my childhood.Well done on the financial plan - getting the windows and doors replaced is worthwhile.8

Happy Sunday 😁
I've got a poorly dog today, been up and down with her since 4am. She's been sick but it's just flem rather than food. She's shown no interest in going on the park or even out for a walk and is off her food. I hate seeing her like this as she's normally such a lively dog. She does suffer with a sensitive tummy from time to time though. I'm cooking her some plain chicken later to see if she fancies that.
I've made brownies from the new PON book using the Ninja oven. They are delicious, really moist which I think is down to the secret ingredient of mashed sweet potato.
Snowing here at the moment and settling. Not set foot outside the door yet today with the dog not being interested. It's a rest day exercise wise so as long as I do a minimum of 10k steps I'll be happy. I'm just pottering about mainly.
Finances are done and there's an underspend of £26.43 this week. So the scores on the doors are:
VSP (Christmas) £49.31
Emergency Fund £5200.00/£10,000 - £50 added this week
Holidays £1070.00
Regular Saver £1750.00
House £400 - bedroom and living room
Money for remortgage overpayment £1092.00/£4200 (will send this over on payday as there will be more to add). I can overpay by £1500 up to the end of July so this is my mini target. After that a new mini target of £1500 will be set. I've got a spreadsheet with 100 cells of £42 each and I've happily deleted 26 cells today 😁
I've put the money for the windows/door repayments from February to August to one side and will move the monthly payment into my current account as and when the payment is due. They are on 0% interest credit over 36 months. When my Regular Saver matures at the end of July I'll put a year's payments to one side.
If this all seems like some confusing jiggery-pokery then it's because it is 🤣 Everything is on a spreadsheet with a million tabs so I know what I'm doing - trust me 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8 -
Sounds good to me hope the poorly dog picks up soon you will have sad eyes all day8

Forgot to add today is NSD 12.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -
Those savings pots are building up nicely. As long as you understand your system that is the main thing.
Well done on mortgage overpayments. Do you overpay in lump sums or small regular overpayments?

Hope your dog is feeling better soon.
It's horrible when they are poorly ☹7 -
I haven't actually sent anything yet ES. I'm going to send as much as I can on payday then small amounts a month until I've overpaid the allowed amount. It's the additional borrowing part of my mortgage, the 5 year fixed rate ends next July and I want to be able to clear the balance so I can reduce the term of the remaining mortgage to 2 years.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7
