Morning all, happy Tuesday.
WFH today. Beautiful sunny start to the day, might go for a walk later to pick up my parcel instead of sending Mr SA. Weather too nice to be chained to my desk all day.
Doing a lunchtime bums and tums session and a resistance band session at 5pm.
Cleaning task today is the kitchen. Washing already hanging on the line.
Mr M shop has been delivered and put away. No missing items or subs. This week's online offer was £1.50 off your shop if you bought pet treats. Added a pack of dog treats on offer at 89p and got £1.50 off, can't say fairer than that 😁
Fish finger tacos for tonight's dinner, trying a new recipe from the WW website, ingredients already in stock. Need to use up some salad stuff to accompany. Lunch will be a portion of home made lentil soup from the freezer. Mr SA is having slow cooked Mediterranean chicken.
The cats were both grumbling in the garden and had bushy tails so I suspect a strange cat has upset them.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
Picked up the parcel this morning. I’m really pleased with the trousers, got a navy pair and a stone coloured pair, 2 pairs for £38. Will do me for work. Sadly can’t wear dresses or skirts for work as the heavy backpack with my laptop and other equipment in makes them ride up alarmingly. The only downside of commuting by foot I guess. Would definitely order from this company again. They wrapped the trousers up in tissue paper and put in a little card thanking me for my purchase and explaining they were a small long established family company. What a day at work. Thought it was going to be fairly quiet but ended up helping out a couple of colleagues who desperately needed my assistance.Had 30 minutes in my hanging chair reading before cooking dinner. Scrapped the fish finger tacos because I couldn’t be bothered with the faff, far too hot, so had tuna steak and new potatoes cooked in the air fryer with a huge salad. Very nice 😋I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

OMG you couldn’t make today up at work. I was helping out at an event but couldn’t join until later as I’d been drafted into a meeting at the last minute. The meeting overran so I quickly grabbed a bite to eat before making my way to the event. I’d been there 10 minutes when the alarm sounded to evacuate the building immediately. We operate a starburst system where you have to disperse into the local area for 45 minutes rather than gather outside the building. I took this opportunity to walk to the near-ish Mr S for a browse. Didn’t buy anything. Returned back to work within 45 minutes to be told go away for another 30 minutes. Decided to go to B&M. What a fabulous B&M near work, it’s huge! Bought a couple of beautiful cushions reduced to £4, absolute bargain. Thankfully by the time I’d made it back to work we were allowed back in the building. Had literally been back at the event another 10 minutes when someone had a nasty accident outside the building which meant an ambulance had to be called and people at the event were running out to help. It turned out the evacuation was down to a heat sensor overheating, probably due to how hot it is today.I’m slightly short of 30,000 steps today thanks to the walking back and forth and have done 78 flights of stairs. Needless to say I didn’t do my FitSteps class, I was shattered.Managed half an hour in my hanging chair with my book before cooking a very quick dinner of scampi, wedges and veg.It will be an early night tonight that’s for sure.Glad I’m WFH tomorrow.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

Paid to go shopping - perfect. Many moons ago whan I was a civil servant one of our number took advantage of a fire evacuation to visit a local hostelry. He returned 15 minutes after the rest of us and whatever he'd had it was good because as he staggered through the middle of the office he tripped and managed a perfect somersault. Security was summoned and he was removed from the premises. We never saw him again.6

Oh my goodness, SA! I think you need a week off after all that! Nice to be able to get a bit of shopping done though. I'm still wondering how they manage to account for everyone under a starburst system, or do they have senior management at the door of every nearby coffee shop, B&M and supermarket with a clipboard?
What are the cushions like?
