When I came off omeprazole I did it gradually
Taking one a day for 4 days then a day off for a couple of  weeks, then one a day for 3 days  then down to 2 days then quite a long time on one every other day
surprised the doc didn't recommend this.

I couldn’t get to the appointment with Mr SA as I was in a meeting so he came back with a note from the doctor and it just says stop taking Omeprazole. I think gradually coming off it would be a lot better.
Yep you are supposed to reduce it gradually otherwise you hate horrendous rebound symptoms. I've been trying to stop taking it for ages but can't go below 10 mgs or I get really severe symptoms. If you have been on it for a long time it can take a very long time to come off it

We’re back from the hospital. We weren’t there long at all. The dermatologist wants to do a biopsy on the sore but isn’t overly concerned, he just wants to err on the side of caution. The other moles he has are actually warts so that’s good.

Can you believe there were no wheelchairs to be had at the hospital, had a nightmare getting Mr SA to the part he needed to be at, it was a long walk for him and he had to keep sitting down. Eventually found a wheelchair en route and we made it to the clinic just in time. It was in a new part of the hospital we’ve never been to before, it was a really nice building, very light and airy.

Just pence short of £30 spent on taxis but needs must and it made a long journey so much easier.

I don’t know to be honest. He could get the hospital transportation but he needs someone with him at the appointment not just a lift.

I did that hospital transportation with my mother once, thankfully never had to do it again but we had no vehicles that would take a wheelchair.  Pick up just before 9am, appointment over & done by12.30.  Home just after 5pm.  I swore if we had to do it again I'd hire a vehicle .

Where I live there is a group of volunteer drivers who can take people where they need to go.
For whatever reason.  You just pay a wee amount.
They would take two or three people or whatever.

I won't let Mum get the bloody transport for the hospital for that reason! Last time she had an appointment at 1.30 and I didn't have a car (at the menders) and she came home at 7.45, in the dark and rain. She was exhausted and really frightened.

Hope the results are good SA XX
    Nevertheless she persisted.

    Glad the specialist seems unconcerned.
It may be worth considering getting the transport to the hospital and then getting a taxi home when appointment is done? It would save half the fare anyway. XX

That’s Thursday done. 3 more working days to go.

I’m absolutely exhausted. Did a full day in the office, been really busy. It was good to get away from Mr SA although he phoned me 6 times!

Because we’re moving offices next week I was sat surrounded by packing crates and people rushing about with clipboards.

Went to Mr S at lunchtime and picked Mr SA a pair of casual trousers for holiday. Unfortunately they don’t fit him properly so will be going back.

Walked to/from work and to Mr S at lunchtime so 23,000 steps done.

Stopped off at Lidl on the way back from work, didn’t pick much up as trying to use up stocks.

Mr SA had done absolutely nothing all day, not even straightened the bed or opened the curtains 😩

This time next week we will be in Lanzarote 🥳
