Just virtually attended the WW live cook along, tonight was Burn’s Night recipes, scotch broth and cranachan. Reminded me of when I was at school the English teacher made me write out Tam O’Shanter 6 times as punishment for talking in class. I then had to stand up and read out said poem in front of the class “as I liked talking so much”. The teacher then ripped up my lines in front of the class. I bet this wouldn’t be allowed nowadays. Thankfully it didn’t bother me in the least and I’m not scarred for life 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

🤣 to Tam o Shanter ! I think our teachers were very strict in the "old days". Talking in class, passing notes in class and running in corridors were very serious offences. We also had sock inspections - uniform was brown socks but black socks were thought to be better ... "I didn't realise my socks were black because it was dark when I got dressed" only worked as an excuse once.6

Morning, happy Monday, another week has begun.
Still WFH for me so making the most of what are probably the last couple of weeks of full time WFH before we move to a permanent mix of home and office working.
Had a quieter night with the kitten thank goodness, hopefully she is finally realising that night time is for sleeping and not tearing around the house.
Got a really busy work morning, need to do work stats first thing then I've got a long meeting I have to take minutes for. This afternoon should be quieter though.
It will be NSD 10/15 today. No plans to spend anything. Mr SA is meant to be putting up the retractable washing line today 😐
Cleaning is the bathroom. Exercise will be dog walking and a WW live HIIT session later. 15k steps is the aim.
Sorted out all the things that need using up in the store cupboard and will be making something involving pearl barley today. Best before date is May 2018!! I'm sure it will be fine 😆 Might make a slow cooker root veg and pearl barley stew.
Best get cracking...I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
Have finally emerged from my busy morning to find that whilst I've been otherwise occupied the kitten has had all my toilet rolls out and shredded them. There is even a shredded toilet roll under the dining room table which means she's managed to get one downstairs. Mr SA was totally oblivious to all this as he was asleep in his chair!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6
