Tried joining up with this Tesco pharmacy before (as it's my local) and they said they don't include Leith Links Surgery & that's only in EH6! So I have looked up closer surgeries in EH7. However will I get away with saying I'm at another surgery if I need a doctor's signature on one part of the form? Should I change surgeries to be on the safe side?
Im from edinburgh too so Hi :T If your saying the tesco pharmacy is your local one then it would make sense to change surgery but severe action just for 250 points I would of thought. Im miles away from it :mad:0 -
I just joined at my local tesco. Filled in all the details and got my points.
Then when shopping my name came over the tannoy asking me to go back to pharmacy.
Well i'd put my doctors name in but it is 10 miles from the tesco, and they are only collecting prescriptions from the doctors over the road. :rotfl:
Girl said sorry, then said but you can keep your points. :T0 -
Oh I like tesco deals, for me as a big kid there are wonderful for days out! 2 tickets to legoland (which you didn't have to book for specific day) and worth £60 for pair FREE. 2x entrance to Longleat, £40 usual price... FREE!
There are shed loads of places to go, not just kiddie stuff, all over the country. Go on, treat yourself to a day out and enjoy some of life!
Unfortunately my dr will be too far from my Tesco I know for sure, but I will still be cheeky and ask lol!0 -

It's very simple; Tesco is offering 250 clubcard points (worth £10 in Clubcard Deals vouchers) for just filling in a form.
Pick up one of the repeat prescription service leaflets which says '250 Clubcard points when you sign up' from any Tesco pharmacy . Fill in your details - Dr's name, surgery, your name, address and telephone number and hand it into the pharmacy counter. To find your nearest Tesco pharmacy go to Tesco's store locator and click on 'pharmacy'.
Your clubcard points should then be credited to your account by the next quarter's statement.
You don't need to actually use the repeat prescription service
The leaflet says: 'Receive 250 clubcard points today when you sign up. Clubcard points are not dependent on using the service.'
However if you do want to take advantage of the service, make sure you hand in the other section of the form to your surgery.
Some Tesco's are saying you can't take the offer unless your surgery participate in the repeat prescription service. It may be worth ringing before you make the journey and visiting the Tesco pharmacy nearest your surgery.
T's & C's
The offer is available until 13 November 2007.
How are 250 points worth £10?
You need to follow the golden MoneySaving rule.... never, ever, ever, ever redeem your Tesco points instore. Do that and 250 points are worth just a £2.50 discount off your shopping.
Instead convert them to Tesco Deals vouchers and they're worth four times that amount. These vouchers can be used on days out, breakdown cover, gifts, magazine subscriptions and much more.
For more full details and info on how to boost your points stash read the Loyalty Schemes article.
PS. This deal was originally spotted by MoneySaver rev229 below. Thanks for the top spot! This post has been inserted to provide a more detailed explaination and research for MoneySavers coming from the weekly e-mail.
If you have a partner you can both sign up and get 500 points0 -
While in tescos pharmacy yesterday I pick up some leaflets for 250 clubcard points if you sign up to the repeat prescription collection sevice. Our pharmacy already does this any way (collect prescription) . Fortunatley as a family of 4 we all requre a repeat prescrption for something! So thet will be 1000 points. I will probably have to use different clubcards to get the points and visit on 4 occassions but thats 40.00 in clubcard deals. :j :j0

I'll just give it a couple of weeks and then cancel0 -

tough luck. Well, I'm a clubcard plus points freak (must get a life!) and a surgery near to Mr T would be closer than the Leith Links one....and its not as though you always see the same doctor nowadays....or is there a simpler way of getting round it?
[clubcard plus = 500 points = £20 deals]0 -
I signed up husband and two sons for the 250 points. Great! Only then they had a phonecall from the surgery to fill in some forms about this at the surgery. Son took the call and didn't have a clue what they were talking about.
Not surprised none of them have been to the doctor's in the last 10 years!! :rotfl:Saving money right, left and centre0 -
Got 250 points added straight away at pharmacy counter today. Grabbed a load of forms for rest of family & friends to do same.:beer:Assume 1st – then check the facts!0
