Do they require your doctors surgery to be in the vicinity of the store? I use the Tesco's near where I work which is nowhere near my doctors surgery.0

Sadly, my local Tesco doesn't have a pharmacy counter amd as I live out in the countryside, it isn't worth my while driving to a large town to find one that does. But thank you for the info.
Also, can I just say that it is a little niggle of mine that we are always being told by MSE to "never, ever, ever, ever redeem your Tesco points instore" and only to use them for Tesco deal vouchers. But I am sure I am not alone when I say I have yet to see any deal vouchers for anything that even remotely appeals to me. So for me (and I am sure many others), until they offer deal vouchers for something that actually has some interest for me, 250 points will only ever mean £2.50p off my next shopping bill - no matter how much I am preached at about them being worth £10 if I obey the "Golden Moneysaving rule".0 -

I agree! Tesco used to offer many more 'deals', but now all you seem to be able to get are meals or days out - and these latter have to be very well thought out and booked in advance, you can't just decide oh let's go to Alton Towers, you have to book it all weeks in advance.
The only thing I find vaguely useful is the cross channel offer, and although we get to go for free, it is actually very expensive as you can't use the deal tokens with any other offer, so effectively you pay full price, in tokens. Also, watch out for the expiry dates on these vouchers, I had to send off for the tunnel vouchers last month as I had at least 20 quids worth (80 in Tesco money) that were about to expire. Come to think of it, I must check as I think I have some that are going to expire next month.
I have around £100 in vouchers, quite useful with Christmas coming up, I know that's around £400 in deals, but all their offers have time limits, once you send for the vouchers, there is time limit for booking the actual trip, meal etc - and it's all rather complicated.
It's time Tesco had a rethink on these vouchers.
Oh, and I know they're really useful for airmiles, but again the process is rather complicated and time limited.Ooh, I've gotta little star! What's that for then?!!0 -
Used ours to renew our RAC membership - the only thing in the book of deals that we actually use.0

im the same none of the deals are any good for me i have 7 kids so a lot of the things i cant do like the meals or the days out so i use mine when i get them to get a weeks free shoppingExtra payment every week challenge £15 so far
Pay one debt in 2012 £35/£2940 -
Must say Tesco Deals are OK for me - 2 cars, full service and MOT on both, RAC cover for self & wife & son in any car.
Just these save me a lot, and we might then take the kids on a Day Out.
But agree, more choices would be nice - but then our Tesco shopping bill would need to go through the roof to get enough tokens!! Ho Hum.....
(and no pharmacy in our Tesco!!).I say what I like, I like what I say!0 -
used my deals last year to buy driving lessons for nephew's 18th birthday £60 of deals got 6 lessons, couple of hours in a driving simulator and various highway code books/cdroms., all with BSM. My son will be 17 next summer so will do the same for him but noticed that the deal has been cut down drastically by Tescos!0
