Free £10 of Tesco Clubcard Deals vouchers (250 points)

  • I use mine to pay for a summer holiday with Haven. Could not afford to take the children away otherwise, might even do two weeks next summer with all the extra points I am getting from Johnsons baby stuff.

Also convert some to meals vouchers so me and the other half can have a nice meal out for free!
  • I share some of the misgivings about getting the holidays with Deals tokens that others have mentioned: was it complicated? I've got quite a lot of tokens now and am thinking of putting them towards something exotic/romantic for me and her [i.e. more than £1000]. Previously, we've used them for magazines and they're a bargain, but big numbers scare me a bit!

I always ring Haven in advance, as there is no special discounts if using deals, to find out the actual price needed. I usually get the persons name and direct number and then when the deal vouchers come through all you have to do is phone them back with the reference numbers on the tokens. Never really been any problem. The other thing is I never pay for insurance as if you are paying by deals they will not give you your money back so its pointless paying for it.

Check it all out first before you send off for your deal tokens. Its all so much easier to do now that they can be ordered online. Before this I used to send them by special delivery so I knew they got there safely. Best of luck and enjoy your hoiday.

Has anyone got the clubcard points when (like me) they already get their prescriptions delivered to Tesco pharmacy?

All our repeat prescriptions already go to the tesco pharmacy and have done for years, we have 2 tesco phamacies in our little town 1 just around the corner from GP and one next to tesco I request that they go to the 1 next to the store as parking is better. So far I have banked 750 points on 3 cards, and 3 family members. Will send husband in at the weekend to do his!

"Also, can I just say that it is a little niggle of mine that we are always being told by MSE to "never, ever, ever, ever redeem your Tesco points instore" and only to use them for Tesco deal vouchers. But I am sure I am not alone when I say I have yet to see any deal vouchers for anything that even remotely appeals to me. So for me (and I am sure many others), until they offer deal vouchers for something that actually has some interest for me, 250 points will only ever mean £2.50p off my next shopping bill"

They fetch about double their value on eBay, if you think it's worth the bother

Well the Florida holiday for £3430 that I will be paying for in full with deals when my next vouchers arrive in Nov definitely appeals to me. There are lots of restaurants, attractions, hotels etc. that take them. I have a daughter and I have bought deals from ebay if going on days out, I recently bought £60 worth for much less than half that from ebay and it will pay for admission and a meal out on the day trip.

And on the vouchers it says that clubcard points aren't transferrable and should only be used by the named person on them - so selling them over ebay is actually not allowed.

    So I'd be careful!

I use them for nationwide autocentre servicing and MOT for my car, and occasionally for ferry tickets as I go over to Holland occasionally on Stena Line. The price is very similar paying by clubcard points as by card, the only thing you lose is points on the Stena Line loyalty scheme.

I'd agree there aren't many things that are worth paying clubcard points. Like RAC is about 4 times the price of the cheapest breakdown provider anyway!
Indecision is the key to flexibility :)

    Hi Creeslough,

Tried joining up with this Tesco pharmacy before (as it's my local) and they said they don't include Leith Links Surgery & that's only in EH6! So I have looked up closer surgeries in EH7. However will I get away with saying I'm at another surgery if I need a doctor's signature on one part of the form? Should I change surgeries to be on the safe side?
