    Good stuff!
In terms of the backup options, I'm not sure what app is giving you these options, I guess maybe one came on the USB C 64GB stick.
Firstly, I will point out that since this is a moneysaving site, you should have asked us before spending your money!
I assume this is for backing up stuff on your phone - this is mostly unnecessary, physically, because a lot of stuff on Android (and iOS) is (or can be) backed up to the cloud. Contacts, calendar, even photos, aren't lost as long as your phone is syncing.
Anyway, before advising on what to choose, I'd like to know what the app is, and what you want to achieve. I guess you'll want 'manual backup' and you can select what elements to back up.

    Thanks for your input...

...As I said earlier I purchased a SanDisk 64GB and have installed it onto the Samsung S8+ and I think that a Manual Back up would be the best choice.

...the android app that I installed I found by chance and is called Samsung Music Version 16.2.08.22

Since I retired I have taken up the hobby of 'photography' and can take anything up to 2,000 pics during visits to National Trust properties and I can also take videos as well, so I need storage space and battery power.

I usually carry a SanDisk Extreme 90MB/s 32GB and a 12GB and can use a large chunk of storage space, so I did not want to run out of space if I only had the Samsung to work with.

    Kind regards.

That's great BertieUK. You've got a good phone for photography - make your way into the manual settings to get a bit more control when you're more confident with it.
And remember that a great skill of photography is managing your portfolio. Find and use that delete button!

almillar thanks for your input... and delete button advice. :)

...I am following your advice at this very moment and I find that the Samsung S8+ is like a Pandora's Box, simply full of great surprises along the way, it is one fantastic piece of kit.

I am looking into putting suitable music onto future 'videos' that I take, so that they will be enhanced to suit the occasion.

I am talking about videos that only last a short time in duration, but I have a problem in that I do not want to become involved with 'Copyright' and the likes, so I am seeking advise from someone that understands the Laws on this issue.

I wonder where the best place is to look, any ideas, almillar?

    Kind regards...

I've no idea where to look, but if you're looking for background music for videos, that you can use, you're looking for 'copyright free music', which I guess there would be a wealth of available online. Have a search or maybe someone will chip in. I guess the artist will allow it to be used for free, as long as they get a credit.
As far as I understand it, you simply can't use an artist's work (including music) without their permission. Often their permission would include payment in the form of a licensing fee.

...I notice that this Samsung 8+ has within its menu, a list of music that looks to be 'available' that I could choose, but as you kindly said look under 'copyright free music' and there maybe a wealth of choices there.

I just feel that videos can be greatly enhanced with suitable music added, I look forward to having great times with my 'Smartphone' thanks again.

    Kind regards...

I have recently added music to iTunes recently on my PC and would like to add them to the iTunes 'Music Folder' that I managed to 'drag and drop' onto my Samsung S8+ SanDisk microSD card.

Would some kind person advise this 'Old Codger' how to do it please.

    Thank you...

When you add them to iTunes, iTunes should be adding them to that folder by default. If you can have a look through Preferences in iTunes, there will be an option somewhere along the lines of 'keep iTunes folder organised' - if this is ticked, then you should be set.
Goto wherever the music is (it's in a folder with the artist's name, and inside that, the album's name).
It sounds like you've done it successfully once, so it should be grand again...
