Seeing as it's an Android phone wouldn't Google Play Music be a better option?
There's the service which costs £9.99 per month or with the free version you can store up to 50,000 tracks and play them over WiFi or download them to your device. It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0 -

Thanks' to RumRat and 20aday for your input...
RumRat - I downloaded Google Play Music and when it came to asking for my Credit-Card details this is not what I like to disclose too easily, being an OAP we can become 'over cautious' at times.
And the service of £9.99 per month, with respect to your good self, is much more than I would wish to sign up for. I would rather 'pay-for' an app rather than rent-it if I make sense to you.
Maybe I should just forget this idea and maybe try another way if there is one.
Kind regards to all.0 -
google play music is free to store and play your own music. not sure whether you can just add payment method and then remove once setup
the way google play music works is that you upload your music collection to google from your pc/laptop and then stream from your phone. if you want to be able to play music offline on phone you can download tracks, albums or playlists
its a great service imo and you may be able to find a 3 months free trial for the full google music version"The Holy Writ of Gloucester Rugby Club demands: first, that the forwards shall win the ball; second, that the forwards shall keep the ball; and third, the backs shall buy the beer." - Doug Ibbotson0 -
Many thanks Debbie and DCFC...for your comments...
As I mentioned in an earlier post that I was not too good with computers, and being almost eighty years of age it is not easy to follow modern technology for some of us.
On my PC I have installed iTunes and my 'Music' and I would like to be able to have the same on my Samsung S8 if that was possible.
I have fitted, as mentioned a 32GB SanDisk Card to hopefully record/store videos taken during the day until I get home etc. so I did not wish to fill this card with too much music etc.
I wonder just how many GB of space I would take up if I installed the iTunes app, if there is one available, that I am not sure.
Thank you for your patience in this matter.
Regards.
I reckon your better off copying your music to your sd card.
You have a son, nephew or grand daughter who could do it for you ?0 -
sdcards fail regularly. they are ok for holding a couple of playlists to play offline but i wouldn't put all my music on one"The Holy Writ of Gloucester Rugby Club demands: first, that the forwards shall win the ball; second, that the forwards shall keep the ball; and third, the backs shall buy the beer." - Doug Ibbotson0

DCFC thanks again for your input... We have a daughter who lives a long distance away from us and unfortunately no younger members, but we are not complaining, a nice thought you had.

Thanks for your input. Disappointed to learn that SD Cards can fail regularly but I am not surprised seeing how small they are in size, dinky little items.

As long as you just copy any music onto the sd card you will be fine if it were to fail as you only copied the files.0 -

Watch a few youtube videos, write down the various steps if it helps then do it for real
Thanks DCFC79... That is a good idea that I will follow as I can usually learn better from watching rather that to try and follow, what comes naturally to many people...
Kind regards... to all helpers...:)0
