Sky, what would you do?

I phoned up since I couldn't do it directly online myself.
They were nice and did it all on the phone - I went for Entertainment + Kids channels .. so dropped from £32 a month to £25.
Now, this did involve taking out a new contract, since you get a £5 a month discount for doing so - for 18 months.0 -

Sky offfered me a basic entertainment package for £8 a month for 12 months but it’s not worth it as there are regular free codes for Now.
If you are an existing now TV customer do they let you use different codes or do you have to cancel it and then rejoin after a certain number of days?0 -
That is wrong - i am a current customer and i was able to change. then i don't know. i am now on the new entertainment package + HD all for £25. I even got the email.
Will be checking my bills on friday, as there should be a tiny credit on my account too.
As ringo_24601 states - you do have to take a new contract out, 18 months but i am fine with that too.
Maybe say that you want a new contract that overrides your current contract - that might be the way.

Perhaps it's tailored to each individual customer as I can't see it on mine either but then I'm paying £17.62 for Boxsets so it would make no sense for myself.0 -
Nothing was noted on my account. I called them myself and stated that I wanted the new package that they are offering. I got transferred to another person and then it was all go from there. Admittedly she try & get me to keep the box sets & take movies on as extra but we don't need them. Plus not watched a sky box set in over a year....& movies we have prime for that.0

I guess it may depend on the terms of the particular code, some may be for new customers only.
I added one a few days ago bought from ebay to my existing account with no problem, but couldn't add a second yet, apparently you can add them within 28 days (I think) before your existing credit expires.0
