Me too. I feel bad for the people doing £50 or £100 a month who thought they could deposit for up to 10 years to reach £6000.0 -
Had my letter today. As we all expected, the issue will be closed. Key points;
- Maximum balance increased to £7250.00.
- Issue will be closed and converted to an Easy Access Account in Feb 2019.
- Bonus becomes unconditional from September (2.55% flat rate) max pay in remains at £250.00 per month until Feb however penalty free withdrawals and missed payments allowed.
- If the account is closed before September 2018 you will NOT get the bonus.
No surprises in that this issue will be closed - similar to the previous issues.
In a way, I'm glad this is happening. No need to for me to visit a branch to withdraw £600 next month - saves time and money. They've (kindly) increased the max balance to £7.25k - they did not do this with Issue 3.
Overall, a good result.:grouphug:Official MSE canny forumite and HUKD VIP badge member

This forum is not worth posting to.
Just wanted to thank you Hattie for your advice. Whilst the original poster didn't specifically ask for advice, it's still nice that you took time to give some as for me this is the point of this forum. We don't need to debate what's best for the orignal poster, he can tell us if he wants too. We can all learn from other peoples experiences and can make are own choices as to whenever it suits us or not. If the original poster still wants to go the branch then it's fine, but your advice can also aid others who didn't know about this option. I hope your exprience dosen't put you off future posts, the info is usefull for all forum readers.
Cheers.

Me too.
Unless you're currently contributing less than £250 pm, you can't increase it, as monthly limit is still £250.:cool:0 -
My letter came today too.0
