Get in contact ASAP and cancel it.

I did but apparently they had already processed it and issued a cheque! Never mind!

The one time I want Royal mail to be slow, they have managed to get my passbook to Leeds the following day!

    Thank you for your message.

The current terms and conditions do state that only one deposit can be made per month, however due to the circumstances, we will honour your additional payment to made the monthly deposit up to £250.00s

Seriously, you try to commiserate kindly with the poor poster who missed out on interest due to an understandable human error, while at the same time offering him/her and others a few pointers (from experience)on how to manage RS's and you get taken to task by some ars*****. This forum is not worth posting to.

Just wanted to thank you Hattie for your advice. Whilst the original poster didn't specifically ask for advice, it's still nice that you took time to give some as for me this is the point of this forum. We don't need to debate what's best for the orignal poster, he can tell us if he wants too. We can all learn from other peoples experiences and can make are own choices as to whenever it suits us or not. If the original poster still wants to go the branch then it's fine, but your advice can also aid others who didn't know about this option. I hope your exprience dosen't put you off future posts, the info is usefull for all forum readers.

    Cheers.
    Frank

    Me too.

Unless you're currently contributing less than £250 pm, you can't increase it, as monthly limit is still £250.

I could only manage £50 just working out within my budget whether I can increase my monthly contributions till they convert the account.

So have you only ever deposited the minimum of £50 a month since you opened it (I presume September 2016 when it launched?)

I opened it a little after that, think after my Skipton regular saver matured. Usually the minimum payment each month.
