The AI studies for £15 an hour have been out in force today with another 700 or so just launched if anyone wants to check the Prolific Assistant. Its 'proper' work but quite lucrative if you have the hours spare. You can take multiples from the same batch as well. I've been laid up today so it has been handy timing for me. Perhaps they are always like this if you are free all day  but I've only ever had 1 or 2 in a day so far.

They’re not showing up for me today, I’m just getting hundreds of ones about fisherman and whatever else that Chinese bloke is trying to assess.

I did wake up at 5 o’clock the other morning I couldn’t get sleep so fitted in a couple of them then. Might as well make constructive use of time as an insomniac.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.
  • I managed 8 of the AI studies in a day once!  My brain was fried after that though.

I wish they would do the AI studies in 30 or 45 minute lengths as well though, I find that quite often I don't actually have a whole hour to do them unless I am doing absolutely nothing that day - I only managed to do one yesterday which was a shame as there were so many!

Another feature coming ? - just noticed a new pop-up saying as below - anyone had any experience with it yet ?

    "FEATURE ANNOUNCEMENT

    Introducing: Ongoing studies 🔄
Easily fit studies into your schedule and boost your earning potential with Ongoing studies. Work on your submission over an extended period of time, while taking other studies on the side.
    What to know:
We are testing this feature with a select group of trusted researchers before a full roll-out.
You can join other studies while in an Ongoing Study, but only one Ongoing Study at a time.
Payment is fixed and fairly reflects your time and effort"

It sounds like they are just making these "You have 7 surveys over 7 days" into one big study, as opposed to each submission being seperate, judging just by that blurb.

Aye, that's possible, we shall no doubt see more in due course.   Even having involvement in an "ongoing study' presumably listed somewhere on our dashboards would be useful, to keep better track of them, in case one is missed.

There are several studies offered at the moment from "LRL Humans", an hour long for £15, and about AI bots.  I opened one, and was required to give Google permission to share all kinds of personal information with them.  OK, they said to use the Prolific e-mail address to log in to Google, but Google know perfectly well who I am from my IP address - they don't need to rely on an e-mail address.  I returned it, and reported it.

I've just done one of those - took me an hour to get through the blasted tutorial so I'm not doing any more till I see if I get paid or not.
I think all the AI ones I have done properly have asked for the prolific email to log into google - not something I've had an issue with.

ETA, it has been paid. How do I skip the intro next time round?

You only get the tutorial once. I've done it twice but the task was different so I guess one for each task,

You usually get paid either instantly or within 2m of completion.

I’ve done two now, and yes, you’re right that tutorial didn’t show up second time round.
Brain still fried though, so I’ll see if there’s any left to do in the morning.
