As I understand it, Prolific will report to HMRC, who will take it into account when issuing my next Notice of Coding.

This morning and yesterday I had 2 different studies with 100s of places but constantly got a message of being in high demand. Both of them required desktop/laptop only so puzzling why this message kept popping up when repeatedly clicking on Take part in this study. Eventually I get the more familiar message of being full.
Does anyone know why this happens with certain studies, especially when device access is restricted.0 -
Some studies are restricted to a certain number of respondents at any time - maybe 50, or even 20 - because of the load on their server. It is, I suppose, rather like trying to phone up for Oasis tickets - it's the luck of the draw whether you get one!

If only the payment went up like the price of Oasis tickets......

Problem with my Chrome Browser?I think this might be better on The Techie Forum but would like to ask here in case anyone else has the same problem. When a Study is available and I click on it to reserve a place and start (Chrome Browser) the little circle goes round and round and the Study does not open or, when it does after a delay, when it opens the Study is no longer available.Today this happened again and I quickly opened Firefox Browser and the Study was there, already open, and ready for me to start.I have Prolific Assistant on both Chrome and Firefox Browsers. Is anyone else having this problem or could there be a problem with my Chrome - I have checked and it is up to date?Thank you for any ideas.0

When I get that, I refresh the page and it almost always resolves instantly.

I switched from Chrome to Firefox recently, not due to Prolific but other reasons. I did have issues with constant loading on Chrome but simple refresh fixed it. I do still get it from time to time on Firefox so I do not think it is a browser issue.Edit: Just seen 2FA is avalible on Prolific. Definitely recommend doing it to protect your account and very simple to do.0

Just investigated the MFA on Prolific, but it is only for phones, not for computers. It starts with a QR code (impossible on a computer), and then asks you to enter a code in an app. Even though I have one of the password managers it mentions already installed, it has no option to do this, as it is a program, not an app. Clearly they think everybody ought to be using phones rather than real computers!
