Ok, who got the one earlier today about making 3 audio recordings in your bedroom and taking a photo, 1 place available? Anyone on here?I rejected it, but I'd love to know what that was all about!0

Does this sound like a fake or "Spam" Researcher? Time: 16 min average, 13 intended and 52 maximum. At one point I was told, after completing in about 25 minutes, that I was timed out - but I was not marked as "Timed out." then there were strange 'answers' from the "Researcher."

I am having really strange responses from this "Researcher" and it sounds like ? SPAM and possibly wasting time. I had a similar experience with the same "Researcher" on a Study on 07 November - strange answers to my question after completion. On that occasion my submission was marked, not by me, as "Returned." I did not do anything about it although I remember thinking the Researcher's "answer" to my questions were a bit odd.
I tried to Report on the Bot button this morning but was unsuccessful. Has anyone else had problems like this with this Study or is it just me? If necessary how do I Report this to Prolific? I hope it is not a complicated process.
After completing the Study I received strange messages from the Researcher in response to my questions: Replies such as such as: "How strange, there is many glitches with Prolific, which is really saddenning" (note the spelling) and never answering my actual question. Then these answers: "Something is very wrong here", "I found your ID, but its not registered your work" Then: "It does not even put you started" Then: "Very strange" "oh dear, I am really sorry about this" "you will be paid automatically" "I really need the data" "Can I ask you try again." and "You just get paid twice." All individual "answers to my questions" and inappropriate answers not related to the questions I was asking. The "Researcher did not once answer any of my questions appropriately and sent me round in circles with these odd and strange "answers."
I have to go out now and I am not likely to be back until much later today. I'll be grateful for any replies and will check once I am home later, thank you.0 -
I completed that study coming up for an hour ago. I did not get any completion code - the last page was one giving me the opportunity to withdraw with my code word if I wished - but I submitted it with NOCODE. I also messaged the researcher to say that I had some academic experience with the subject matter. I have not heard had any response.

I'll check back once I am home later. Thanks for replying MollyR.
UPDATE at 16:12. Still no further (sensible) answer or any response from the Researcher. I have reported both today's Study and an almost identical one from 07 November 2023 to Prolific. I suspect both Studies are not credible and may be SPAM.0 -
Saw that one and deliberately avoided it.It just sounded like trouble.1

Taken them nearly 3 weeks, but my hour long £15 AI survey that wasn’t automatically approved has just been paid.
Sigh of relief breathed. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.2 -

After reading your response, elsien, thanks, I am a bit hopeful now. Maybe I will receive payment after all.0 -
