Not complaining at all - work's been busy lately (well, till I pretty much downed tools today, as there was nothing much urgent to do) so I hadn't done many in a while. I guess the algorithms have pushed me back towards the front of the queue for now

I just received today an email offering me a place in Prolific.
It states during the sign up it will require photo id to verify my identity. Is that normal and how does it work, do I take a picture of my driving license and send it to them.
I’m just a bit wary of sending details like that to anywhere let along a survey website.

I honestly can't remember what I had to produce to verify myself. But I do know that Prolific are solid, and are not a typical survey website. They curate academic surveys, and do it very well. I personally would trust them with this kind of thing

Yes, Prolific need to know that they can trust you, and you need to know that you can trust Prolific.  As Martico says, they are very different from the standard survey portals.

Yes, I had to do this when I joined in January.

Some will be delighted to hear my average has come down today.  It was 7 surveys with a total of £13.97.  I'm off this week so anything when I'm online is a bonus.  To be fair I had a zoom meeting which gave the lion share of that for 20 minutes.  The rest was bits catching up on previous studies.

Been with them over 6 years (very grateful to the friend who originally pointed the way)

Never had any problems - a very reliable business and yes, not like other sites.

I have just completed my 10th survey for the day  :o. My £5.40 bonus has been paid, this last survey will pay £4.76.

Total earnings today was £20.75! Not bad for a lazy day's work  :D

Has anyone else done this survey?

"An analyisis of counterfactual statements in early Spring"

hosted by Prof. E. Jit  from the University of South Gibberish

    Average time 2 minutes

    Reward: £0.01 Possible bonus £1,000,000.07

I'm quite excited as I feel I did quite well on the questions, though I was a bit stumped by this one and had to make a guess:

'On a scale of one to the top of a ladder, how gullible are you?'

Apparently the winner of the bonus, and there can be only one, will be announced at mid-day today, so if you haven't already done this survey, it's got to be worth a go.
