I had one yesterday watching some video and was interupted by my OH at a crucial moment which meant I missed an attention check. After completing the rest of it - lots of multi choice - I messaged the researcher to explain my inattention issue and also make some suggestions for improving his video. I haven't had an email response, but he's approved the survey and given me a £1 bonus which wasn't offered as part of the survey, so that was nice.

Is it me or has getting a study become harder since xmas? I wonder if they have let more people in
I’ve had some well-paid ones pop up, but they are always during work time and I can’t do them because of the length. Another AI one yesterday that I had to let go, which was a shame.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

I am new to Prolific and although I signed up for the waiting list some time ago, I only received the invitation to sign up mid-January.  There will be a number of new members I would imagine, so this might explain why it seems harder to get into a study.

I think that must be down to demographics. I joined the waiting list at the end of November and got invited the same day, as has a friend who tried joining last week.

I think there are way more people looking for some extra income at the moment. It's noticeable with the number of people looking at yellow sticker stuff in the supermarkets round here.

A vocal pattern study by Quinton  Richards has been there since yesterday.
300 plus places last night, now 454.
That’s what happens if you are only paying £3.42 an hour.

Oh, that's interesting.  It took a while for me to get the invite to come through.  Now I'm on I've not had many issues getting involved in surveys - I don't have a lot of time to commit to it at the moment so I go for the low-hanging fruit surveys, and in the last couple of weeks I've cashed out £23 which has surprised me.

One thing I can't seem to get my head around is the different timescales for submissions to be approved - some are instant, and some I'm still waiting on after just over 2 weeks.  What is the longest that you've ever waited for a submission to be approved?  Is there a maximum time before it is auto approved?

It’s automatically approved if the researcher doesn’t do it. Can’t remember the timescale but I’ve got 3 weeks in my head for some reason.

I no longer look at approvals, just click on the balance button. As you say some are automatic, some sit for a while, some have bonus's attached later, some wait for auto approval. If I remember auto approval is 28 days.
