I was just screened out of a survey for not having the required experience over the last six months. Which I can’t help but think they could’ve sorted with some pre-screening questions.
They have sent me a 1p bonus to make up for it, my cup overfloweth.
    That's this one I believe:

A study about your work behaviors

We are studying employee work attitudes and behaviors. We cordially ask you to share some of your opinions and work experiences.

This is the first of a two-part survey. This survey may take up to 5 minutes to complete. If you complete this survey, you will be invited to participate in a second survey in about one week. We will pay more for the second survey to ensure good data quality.

So, if they wanted to screen for this particular experience, they should have explained it was a screening study for 10p (which is what they offered me to return it).  Cross!  I did report it but still haven't had my 10p, of course in theory they have 21 days but even then it won't be paid automatically as I returned the study so they will need to pay via a bonus.  Is it worth reporting it again for the sake of 10p...

I had a response from the researcher who said that the normal prolific study set up didn't fit his criteria and that no one had to return the study and they would still have been paid.  I explained that the wording didn't suggest that.

He paid me.  It isn't the 30p but the fact he is doing this and getting free research.

Oooh naughty researcher! I have at least had my 10p now, but yes the wording was definitely "please return the study" and we are dutiful participants and always do that rather than be rejected!

Honestly, I would be inclined to tell him that if "the normal prolific study set up didn't fit his criteria," maybe he shouldn't use Prolific, but a platform that doesn't have rules which his criteria require him to break.

Well, small victory but I've had the remaining 20p now and that same message that TOWIU had about "nobody had to return their study"!

well, the studies will all be there, on both devices, but they get filled up very, very quickly, unless they are for 100s of participants.

When this happens, you can join the study on one device and then switch to the required device to actually do the study.
