    A study about online shopping

    By smail.nju.edu.cn

    • £0.30 • £2.83/hr

    • I attempted this Study this morning, following the instructions carefully with the User ID and Password they provided and, on attempting to log in this notice came up:

    • "This account has been locked"

    • I contacted the Researcher but, after waiting, I Returned the Study as a "Technical error."  Has anyone else had this with this study?

I was offered this one, but rejected it as underpaying.

@Crimson this is the same study as I attempted yesterday.  I logged in at the website, but was unable to click on the links, therefore difficult to complete.  I did add the links at the end of the survey, but this morning there was a message from the researcher saying it was rejected.

I submitted it with NOCODE yesterday, but was asked by the researcher (this morning) to return it.

Thanks JGB1955.  I did not get as far as logging in to the website because of the message (it was in red): "This site is locked."

So far no reply from The Researcher but I Reported the Study as: "Returned owing
    to technical error."

I completed this one a few days ago with a NOCODE as it didn't redirect me to prolific after i had completed it. I took a screen shot of the completion page though.

The researcher asked me to return it as i hadn't completed it and i replied saying i had and can provide the evidence. He ignored me and then rejected me for not completing all essential questions and failing an attention check.

I think this is a scam researcher who is getting free data and then rejecting participants so i told him i was reporting him to prolific for both underpaying and a false rejection.

OH had this one this morning, same result.  Sent a message to the researcher and returned the study as no reply.

I had a zoom meeting study on Friday.  There were 6 of us but 3 were the researchers.  We had to check a Unicef statement for errors in spelling and grammar.  Very weird but paid £9.75 for 30 or so minutes (study said 75 minutes).  Instant payout.

    Two Players Game

In this study, you will be randomly matched with another participant and we will ask both you and your opponent to make a series of choices. You'll receive GBP 2.00 for completing the study. In addition, you will have the opportunity to earn more money depending on your choices, your opponent's choices, and luck. This study requires you to use a physical keyboard and, for this reason, you can participate only from a desktop or laptop computer. This study is conducted under a strict rule of no deception (that is, earnings are calculated exactly as described in the instructions).

I have been so busy all week that I have had little time for Prolific, but when this appeared on a Sunday morning I had to give it a go, as I was suffering Prolific withdrawal symptoms.

Unfortunately I got one of the comprehension questions incorrect at the beginning, so had to return the study.

So be aware, you only get one attempt!

Researchers are supposed to give participants more than one attempt at answering such questions, but this will not be the first time researchers have not complied with the rules obviously

    Never mind :)
