I have been so busy all week that I have had little time for Prolific, but when this appeared on a Sunday morning I had to give it a go, as I was suffering Prolific withdrawal symptoms.

Unfortunately I got one of the comprehension questions incorrect at the beginning, so had to return the study. 

So be aware, you only get one attempt!

Researchers are supposed to give participants more than one attempt at answering such questions, but this will not be the first time researchers have not complied with the rules obviously

I had this a few weeks back, I also got the question wrong and had to return it.  It did seem as though they had made it unnecessarily complicated though.

Just had one wanting you to connect your twitter account, let them see all your twitter friends/follows plus tell the researcher if you know them off twitter. Is that allowed? (was going to accept just to back out and report but it was already full). 

Had another one that had a click this to withdraw button at the bottom of every page, except for the wording and having only one option, it looked exactly like it was just another question to click an answer for. (started off with cosy questions about eating an oddly specifically brand of biscuits with friends and ended up having horrible judgey/triggering questions about your relationships with eating/food, mood and dieting).

Had another survey that right at the end wanting you to type the numbers from what looked like a colour blindness test.

Seen this a couple times before and it feels sort of dodgy - if they're using that as an attention check and the coloured numbers genuinely can't be seen by people with colour blindness then that's discriminatory surely?

Anyone else try this one? You're supposed to select which of four images has the least rain drops or streaks, but having selected an image on page 1, trying to progress to the next page pops up an error message asking me to select an image. Spent more than the 2 minute estimated completion time just trying to work out how to get past page 1, before giving up and returning the damn thing. I have messaged the researcher.

When you click to start the study, it takes you to a page all in Chinese characters which has a QR code on it, and it appears to ask you to confirm your mobile number. 

I've reported it - did anyone else see this one?

I Returned the Study because it was in Chinese and impossible to proceed.

Yes, I saw that, and reported it.  All it offered was the text in Far Eastern characters and a QR code (despite saying that desktops were acceptable), and I don't follow any link where I don't know where it's going!

Yep we both got this and had the Chinese text.  Notified the researcher but they haven't responded.
