The front page widget never updated anyway until you refreshed or viewed a different page.

I struggling to see what Prolific were thinking moving the balance to another section which you have click through to access.

What possible benefit does it have?!
Possible benefit for them by not having to have a widget that updates the front page?  It's about as puzzling as when Tesco decide the most logical way to arrange the breakfast cereals would be by having them in two separate aisles.  Is it just a random decision, or change for the sake of it?  I have sent feedback and am trying not to lose sleep over it (Prolific OR Tesco).

I was a Customer Service manager for Tesco for two years and anything they do will be entirely for financial gain and absolutely nothing to do with customer satisfaction or convenience believe me.

They were big into developing their own AI computer systems to make these sorts of decisions when I was with them and so you will not get a useful or honest reply if you asked them why because there will only be one or two people in head office who actually have some idea of the answer and they wont be telling for commercial secret reasons.

One of the reasons I left their employment was the number of lies at Tesco's request, I had to keep churning out to customers on a daily basis, it got to me in the end.

    Drawing a RET-Figure 2022    by Nicolas Langer
    £2-£6 hr      19 mins.

I was pleased to reserve a place on this Study - first one today.  Well, although I did my best and did not cheat, it involved drawing, taking two photographs and uploading them.  I'm afraid I might have made a bit of a mess of it.  I honestly doubt having much success in having this one approved.

As you know, from my previous posts, I am generally quite slow and very often take longer than the suggested time.  This one took me 32 minutes.  I was pleased not to be timed out but, despite my best efforts, I don't think this is one of my successes!

If anyone else did this Study I'll be pleased to hear how you got on with it, thanks.

I have done the flip side of this study for the same researcher many times - i.e. "scoring" how well other people have drawn the figures.  I did do this one too.  I missed off the top triangle and got the dangly cross at the bottom in slightly the wrong place.  I was curious to know if people who had scored lots of the figures would be better at drawing them so I asked - he said yes, but it doesn't matter.  He has lots of badly drawn figures so needs some well-drawn ones to test his AI on.  Seems a nice approachable sort of person, so if you're worried you've messed up just message him and ask if you can have a chance to withdraw it before he rejects.
  • Thanks Sapindus.  I'll send the Researcher a message.  There was a significant similarity between my two drawings but my effort was definitely not good - not at all.  I'll see what the Researcher says and post back if any update.

I'm about to do that study, Eisen. Glad it went well for you.  :)
  • I've just completed that Study too and it was really good - much appreciated £3 instant payment.

Just had another one - these are really good quick ways to quickly bump up the earnings. The AI definitely doesn't have a sense of humour though!

Had a couple of low paying ones today, and then this one, which required concentration, ended up with loads of things swimming in my mind at one time, but was timed and paid well enough I think, assuming it comes through. (Edit: it was paid within an hour)
