By PW PW71 placesJust a warning, I realised as I was doing this one that it was almost certainly another YT Wang study, the same survey design and the same style of tedious questions that just went on and on and on. I returned it as soon as I realised, but not before it had wasted some of my time. I see that since I started it the average completion time has increased from 5 to 21 minutes, and hence the pay rate reduced from £6 to £1.41/hr.£0.50 • £6.00/hr5 minsolliebean said:validation

But I reported the YT Wang one twice that I managed to complete, for underpaying, and prolific didn't do anything...1 -
In other news... I queried the About You question about how many "romantic partners" I have had, and suggested they meant something a bit more, um, carnal. They said yes, they were being diplomatic. I replied that if they want quality data perhaps they'd better go for accuracy over diplomacy.4

I did have to contact a researcher a while back and gently suggest that they meant public and not pubic. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

By PW PWI spent 33 minutres persevering and answering all the questions in this study. Many of them were frustratingly repetitive. On completion I received a notice: "Something went wrong." I then found that I had been "Timed out." There was no advance warning that this was happening or I would have abandoned the study. As I persevered with this study I missed several opportunities to participate in: "New studies available on Prolific." I console myself by thinking that they were probably all full even if I had managed to click on them straight away!"I sent a message to the Researcher but I am not hopeful of a meaningful, if any, reply.Although I am very disappointed: Lesson learned.Crimson

Academic study with individual and group tasks
Hosted by Andreas Roider
Worth persevering with this one if you get it. Lots of bonus opportunities and much shorter than the 40 minutes it claims. The annoying element is that often the study doesn't start properly as it relies on 5 participants joining up at the same time and staying visible via audio and camera for the first section. This is my 6th attempt as usually someone gets camera shy and disappears. Attempts generally pay out a nominal £1-£1.50 provided you return the study once its obvious a participant has gone awol.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I've not seen that one, elsien. Today has been a succession of studies being 'available' yet full when clicked on.Crimson2
