I have also just had my submission for this one:

    (Verbal and Numerical Reasoning)

approved, willowcat27.  I did not think I had done well at all and was pleased to be awarded the £3.35 and a bonus payment of £1.27.  I hope you have good success too, olliebean

I got a £2.87 bonus, which by my reckoning means I got 13 questions wrong out of 90. It's a shame they don't tell us which ones we got wrong.

Survey of Alcohol and Drug Use

    By buffalo.edu

Just about to go to bed and this popped up and couldn't turn down the money.  Took me around 30mins and was not very demanding, but on the last page it said to 'Click the link below to register your submission and to return to prolific', however there was no link, just a blank page.

I saved as 'NOCODE' and contacted the researcher to explain what had happened but I have not heard back yet.  Just have to wait and see if they got my data or not.

It was a 'Qualtrics' survey and I frequently get problems with the platform, usually a pop up telling me there is no internet connection.

Edit - 'Panic' over, just been paid and got a message off the researcher stating 'Thanks for letting us know, we will keep an eye on it'.

There is no referral scheme for Prolific - it was discontinued some years ago.  After a surge of new sign-ups about six months ago, they have introduced a waiting list to join:
"In order to make sure our existing users can still take part in a meaningful number of studies, we've introduced a new waitlist for participants. Simply fill in the form on our sign up page and we'll let you know as soon as you're able to join. For more information, check out our blog post here."
Thank you for this. I looked on the first page of this thread and it said to go via a link on the referals board.  Really appreciate you taking the time to answer.
I think perhaps it is time for this thread to be retired and a new one started as a) Prolific now has a waiting list and b) it serves no purpose having "alerts" for surveys, as they are snapped up so quickly.

But I have no idea who makes decisions like that round here.
This thread is never used for alerts anymore so I think it’s just the title which needs to be changed.

I'm glad they introduced a waiting list as it stops the site being massively saturated and means long term members can still access surveys.

How do you control your learning?

Well here is an alert of sorts, as this has been hanging around for about 15 mins now on my screen.  I assume there are many like me who simply do not have the time to commit.

Some days I would have gladly accepted the study, but I simply have too much to do today unfortunately.

I see they've upped the reward - the same one was up a couple of days ago, for about half the price. Still underpaying, though.

I started it, then changed my mind when I saw, in more detail, what was expected.

Not me. Not giving access to my data for anyone and particularly not when they could be saying one thing and collecting something else entirely. My technical knowledge not up to checking either way so not going there.

I've rejected it about 3 times now. The first when it was paying less than Pr0lific recommend and twice since they've increased the reward.

I agree with elsien, I'm not sure without some pretty heavy duty software there would be anyway of checking what they were collecting.

I'm not really exciting enough to have anything to hide but it's my data and I'm not sharing it for £1 :D
