Online challange
Hosted by Ricardo Santiago Araujo£0.88 6 mins £7.68/hr 0 places remainingDid anyone else have a problem with this one? There were no explicit attention checks that I can recall, and I completed the study in good faith - the main part involved guessing the percentage of orange dots in a box full of orange and blue dots - but was told at the end that I'd failed attention checks. I suspect they've just decided that anyone who didn't reach a certain level of accuracy in the task can't have been paying attention, but that doesn't seem fair as I might have just not been very good at the task.Anyway I've told Prolific and also messaged the researcher, and we'll see what happens.

Anyone just done the first part of that cooking one - jeez, talk about losing the will to live. And I'm fairly sure the feedback was rigged as well. If I don't get the full amount I'm not going to be happy - first half was a good hour and a half. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
I tried to access/schedule a Zoom appointment for this study this evening: Visual Memory Study 3I was given a completion code and asked to submit this before selecting the appointment slot and I did this. I found that I was directed to a 'Doodle' account and was asked to give access to my Google account. The option to select a slot for the Zoom appointment (for tomorrow) was muted and I was not able to secure a slot. I have contacted the Researcher (having followed the instructions and entered the completion code) because I don't want them to think I am trying to cheat.Does anyone know about this 'system' where you have to join/open a Doodle account before being able to access a Zoom appointment as part of the Prolific Study, thanks?Crimson

Prolific assistant has been going absolutely crazy today - I think it's pinged at least 20 times! I've been really really busy, so often couldn't get to it in time - and twice I managed to reserve spots but had to return the studies as they were long and I didn't have the time to do them. I think I've managed to complete a couple of pounds worth today but must have missed out on much more!!0

The Researcher contacted me today and has provided a direct link for me to access the Zoom study on Thursday and I'm really pleased to be able to participate now.Crimson0

I had a good one yesterday morning: "Visual categorization with incentives and losses" - £6.10 for a study that was estimated to take 50 minutes, but in practice took less than 30, plus I got a £10 bonus for it!
