It’s not that simple. I’m a woman and my surveys have pretty much dried up over the last few weeks.Plus they’ve started doing ID checks and I’d rather not be turfed off the panel.
And in the main it’s genuine research. I’d rather not stuff up the results by pretending to be something I’m not.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.4 -
I've had almost no surveys either over the last few weeks and I'm a woman. So I'm not sure that gender is the reason for many more surveys. Perhaps it's something else. And if it works the way it often seems to with Prolific, there could be a high number of studies then it will drop off again.
Most of this research isn't for faceless corporates but students or academic institutions. Having had to carry out research in the past, I wouldn't want to invalidate someone else's research either by using false details.4 -
I've finally had my first study in a long time.

(I have reported it to Prolific - 87p an hour is disgraceful! Why are they allowing such poorly paying studies?)0 -
I tried to do two surveys by that person, and returned them both before finishing. Reported one for the low payment, and it just felt like the survey questions kept going round and round and asking the same things! The first one I tried to do sounded like it was near the end (asked for age, gender etc) and then the next page had a whole screed of questions like the start of the survey! So I gave up.

Yep, that one was very boring. I actually thought I’d finished too then it went it to asking the same questions again. Returned and reported the study.1

Anyone else had a flurry of short studies today? I've done 7 in the past five or so hours, plus there have been a further 3 that I'd missed due to there only being 1 or 2 places when I got the notification! The highest paying one was only £1 and several were 10p for one minute, but I've never known 10 studies come up in a day before!
ETA: Just had another one for 90p.0 -
Yes i have managed to do 6 little surveys this afternoon.0
