I’m new to Prolific. Really enjoying the studies and I set myself a goal to earn £1 a day. Then I came across this thread and my £1 a day seems a little embarrassing 😂NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸0

I work from home so I can usually catch a few a week but for every one I managed to get there are usually 3 or 4 with no places left by the time I click on them1 -
I miss the better paying longer ones because there's no way I can take half an hour to an hour out of the working day to complete them. I'm now also back out and about for work so only work from home one or two days a week which limits things as well.
This year, a bad month is £40, a good month is £90. Most months hover around the £40 - £50 pound mark. Having said that, I've only got £10 in July so far,All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.1 -
My earnings from Prolific have improved over time, although I don't know if that's because I'm getting better studies due to my experience, or if it's improved for everyone - perhaps coronavirus has limited in-person studies, so more of them are going online now - anyway, I joined towards the end of 2018 and for my first year I was averaging under £30, now I'm averaging a little over £50/month. I also have to pass on a lot of the longer studies because they pop up at inconvenient times.

If you are doing a multi-part study and a subsequent part of it pops up on Prolific when you are away from your computer, the add-on will auto-reserve you a place, and if you don't see it within 10 minutes it will be returned and you've missed your chance, and possibly lost your payment for previous parts if it was dependent on completing all the parts.I've messaged the researcher saying I accidentally returned it, and am hoping they'll be able to re-invite me so I can continue the multi-part study and get paid - and I've uninstalled this version of the Assistant. Posting this here as a heads-up to anyone else who is using it.3

Just a quick rant is anyone else fed up with the surveys were you are paired with other participants only to be told to return it as you were unmatched.
most off them are good paying as well

I've not had one of those, but I've had quite a few where they said I was paired with other participants, but I didn't believe a word of it - as one is always put in the dominant position. Psychological trickery.
