I am only in my first week of doing prolific surveys and noted today I was not even getting my foot in the door of reserving them - they were coming up as already full. However I have now downloaded an extension and woo hoo it worked and I got straight onto one so thank you to all on this thread.Been around since 2008 but somehow my profile was deleted!!!0

I had a study today and did not read the "information sheet" which was referenced in the preliminary blurb about participation being voluntary, who to contact with questions etc... Halfway through I had two rather odd questions about ranking my favourite shoes and footwear. I filled in all the questions diligently but became wracked with doubt that if I'd read the information sheet it would have said "ignore the questions about shoes and pizza!"
So I returned it.

I have learnt my lesson. If I remember correctly, it said that they put some fun questions in between for you to refresh. What a shame you returned it .If they were the attention checks they have to state clearly above the question.

I’ve had several longer better paying ones pop up today which I couldn’t do because it was work time.Sod’s law and all that. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.1 -

Economic judgment and decision making (with the possibility for bonus payment!)
Hosted by Frauke Stehr£2.95 34 minutes £5.20/hr 0 places remainingDid anyone else have problems with this one? In part 2, where I had to estimate how many 'X's were in a 20x20 square, it told me I would have 15 seconds to answer each time, but in the practice rounds it moved on each time after 7-8 seconds, without giving me time to submit my answer, and after three of these told me "Your participation in this experiment was terminated, because you did not answer in time too often." I've messaged the researcher asking if I could get some compensation for the 10 minutes I had spent on the study to that point.<edit> Already heard back from the researcher, thanking me for making them aware of the problem and promising to compensate me for my time.1
