Did anyone else complete this and is still waiting for it to be reviewed and receive payment for it? I completed it on the 18/07/2019.

Me too. I'm keeping a close eye on it. I did it on 10/07, I'll be contacting Prolific on 31/07 if it's not paid.

Pleased to hear some people managed to complete this survey and got paid. I had lots of elements not making sense, repeated stages and problems with the microphone stage. From reading the brief I did begin to suspect that it was a 'designed to fail' survey so I persisted until I was stuck at one stage for about 20 mins. Not being able to get unstuck I felt there was no alternative but to return the survey rather than risk running out of time and there being negative consequences. Rather than just being disappointed in not being paid I'm more interested in the ethics of running such a survey where some people are going to invest a great deal of time in the expectation of being paid for their time yet the survey is designed to be impossible for them to complete.

I understand. Running out of time when it's not your fault is really annoying.
I had similar experience recently with Fisherman Game study. Expected time was 30 minutes and the time limit was only 40 minutes, with a glitchy slow site and so much to read even before starting it. I was probably a few minutes away from completing it, but had to return it.

I do wonder how they come up with their time estimates sometimes! I did one recently that was supposed to take 30 minutes and took me 50! The site was running fine as was my computer, I was totally concentrating on it and I am a quick reader/typist.

So Prolific has just unexpectedly transferred to a new domain - .co. I believe this is going to prevent Prolific Assistant from operating correctly. Is there anyway to amend this?

    Well that's a bummer!!!

I suppose we will just have to wait for a new extension update for PA Assistant...

I've just installed Distill Web Monitor. I'll use this temporarily until PA Assistant gets updated. :)

I've posted an issue on the Firefox add-on's support page asking for it to be updated with the new domain - someone else will have to do it for the Chrome version.

    Hi,

Why is it that sometimes a study is available at it says at times 63 more spaces left or even 201 and when i click to reserve a message pops up saying the study is either unavailable or full?

Just has a similar issue with the one posted above. The message was posted with 55 places remained. I tried reserving when there was 63!

I doubt they would go to such lengths for this reason. The PA only showed surveys you would be eligible for and had available - so why would they want people not to do them? If anything it is the opposite. If Prolific didn't want you to do the surveys (an irrational thought on its own) they simply wouldn't be available to you.

However for me PA has only been intermittently useful in recent months in any case - I get way more by leaving the tab open and just seeing when it says (1) (or hopefully more!) on it.

No, much more likely I would say is the changed domain is because it might be cheaper or even with a different provider.

But it is annoying as now my cookie wouldnt work and I had to reset my password!
