That was the name of the £18 one. I should watch that space, Chrisv. It was too much all in one go, maybe he has split them up.

Yes, he's split them, hopefully I'll get part 2 :)
    Still showing places available. £3.00 • 30 minutes • £6.00/hr • 158/300

Following this we will invite a selection of people to complete stage 2 (we will invite you if selected), which will take an additional 2.5 hours and you will be paid an additional £15 for your time.
The second stage (after the initial questionnaire has been completed) is to complete a further 2 shorter questionaires and 12 short online tasks and games that measure personality (this should take roughly 2.5 hours). You will be able to log in and out of this system and will not have to complete them all in one go.

I have found that, if you hover over the lower amount, a little flaggy-ticket thing appears with "Bonus" written on it. Talk about complicating things for the sake of it. Still no sign of the sick cephalopod. Not impressed. :(
Thanks but that doesn't seem to work for me. If I hover over the amount on the studies page the little flag just says "Reward".

While searching I have found the option to download a full submission history spreadsheet. That has a separate 'bonus' column and sure enough the £6 shows up there next to the final clothing study.

It does seem a badly designed new site when I have had to search so much for this single piece of information :(

I remember Ms. Damer's reaction when I mentioned "social media" in a query once. She jumped on me from a great height, "I hope you're not discussing surveys" etc. She was extremely aggressive and unreasonable, imo. She seemed horrified we would dare to talk to each which, considering she began PA by finding participants on FB, was somewhat hypocritical of her, don't you think?

Just because I'm paranoid does not mean they are not watching us, Michellep. ;)

If you go into their blog from your account by clicking on the arrow next to your initials in the top, right corner, it's in there somewhere, on FB, I think. I have just had a quick flick but cannot find it right now. I didn't dream it, though.

ETA: No bonus for me yet, either. This is beyond a joke. Have you emailed them Michaela? They are ignoring me, no response and no payment. I feel like putting that on FB but I can't stand the thought of sinking to that level.

    Dear Mike,

Thank you for getting in touch and being open about your concerns.

After having handled about 40+ studied on Prolific I can reassure you that the platform crashes often enough. And may I say that you intimating we do not wan to pay the bonus is based on absolutely no grounds and therefore I think considerably unfair towards us. I have written two emails to Prolific already (who are known to not respond within 24h and not at the weekend), participants have done the same and not received an answer. On top of that I am answering about 15 messages a day from participants about the matter, all even though it lies not within my abilities to do anything about it. The money is not in our account anymore and I have a receipt saying 416 people have been payed £6.00 – technically from my side I could leave it at that as I have done my duty. But of course I chase up the matter so that all of our participants get their well deserved bonus as agreed. I wonder truly what you think why I make all the effort informing you participants one by one instead of not just going silent if I would not want to pay. This is a time consuming matter for me just as well as for you.

    All the best, Tina

Dude, I don't know when you sent your query to Tina but I thought I made it clear on Wednesday (was it?) that the problem lies not with her but with PA. I meant could you write to them, not to Tina. I am sorry but I thought you understood that.

Amen to that! No wonder they need some back end whatever bloke to sort out the mess they have made. I think I know where my bonus has gone now; towards his salary.
  • I put a ticket in to PA yesterday (I think - it didn't send a confirmation email) so far nothing.... did you get your other overdue bonus ok from Joe Smodlet?

Yes, thank you, MLE007. That is how I found the flaggy ticket, by hovering over his princely bonus payment. Smodlet did a technical thing, all by herself! :D
  • Haha, it's not obvious at all though on the new site. Fingers crossed PA's new back-ender sorts it all out - I could do with cashing out.

I wrote to both - having used PA without a hitch bonus wise for 2 1/2 years the issue being I simply dont believe her....

OK, thank you, mikep; that is your prerogative. I was feeling a little alone yesterday.

Since some people have been paid, I do believe her and, given PA's attitude on their blog, their continued failure even to acknowledge tickets and the fact they have employed a "back-ender" (MLE007's term, not mine :D) I am inclined to think they are at fault. If they just bothered to answer us it would be something. They are being plain rude, imo.
