On another note has anyone just received an email from that Traffic symbols one that wouldn't load? They are asking people to return it and offering to pay a "bonus" of £3 because they did not receive the data due to their technical issues. I will not be returning it because my work has been approved and I have been paid the £5; I have a completion code so don't think they have a leg to stand on in my case.
I did manage to complete it with about a microsecond to spare so it really is their problem since they should have received my data.
If you want to be extra gnarled....they have offered me the same, despite that I returned the survey within a minute of starting it as I didn't have the time to complete it.:rotfl::rotfl:
I know....but hey, if they arent going to check these things, thats their problem.Debt: May 15: £17335 Jul 16: £13874 Jan 17: £11,606 Dec 18: £8,308 Sept 19: £4,969 Jul 21: £890

Just received the same email and like you mine has already been approved and payment received there is no way I am returning it to be honest was a miracle I completed it in time the software was slow and full of glitches
Never had this before so not sure what happens now and can you return a submission which has already been approved and can the researcher now reject it ?On another note has anyone just received an email from that Traffic symbols one that wouldn't load? Surely if its been approved the money is in your stash? Not a lot they can do...
Maybe stay quiet and see if you get the £3 bonusDebt: May 15: £17335 Jul 16: £13874 Jan 17: £11,606 Dec 18: £8,308 Sept 19: £4,969 Jul 21: £890

I've just had exactly the same email Smodlet, mine too is already "Approved" so it's impossible for me to return it even if I wanted to.
Perhaps it's a generic email from the researcher that should have only been sent to those who didn't manage to complete and don't have a completion code?0 -

That is what I am hoping, Chrisv. As you say, we cannot return it as the back arrow icon disappears when a study is approved. I suppose they could reject them but PA will be getting a complaint from me if they do. If they actually have approved studies for which they did not receive data that is entirely their problem.
Were PA not claiming to make rejection less arbitrary a while back? Asking researchers to justify doing so? (Rather than just letting them use our data then reject submissions to avoid paying us, not that they would ever admit that happens, of course)
Think we may need to stick together on this if it is not just a knee jerk reaction by the researcher with no thought for the consequences. How hard can it be to select only those participants whose data was not received before sending an email?0 -
Think it might just be a way of the researcher finding out who has been paid and who hasn't as his software is so crap he doesn't have a clue :rotfl:
also noticed there were

I'm ignoring the email will just wait and see what happens
Just curious has anyone responded to it ?0 -
Good point but would that not be PA's crap software? Or would it be the researcher making a hash of using it? The latter would seem consistent, would it not?
Darn it, I was gonna wait for the never ending clothing study part MCMXVIII (:D) before cashing out but wonder whether I should do it now? Can they take money back if you have cashed it out, do you think?
I know my paranoia is showing but this level of incompetence is a little worrying, I feel.
ETA: I will ignore it as well, allison445 as it does not apply to us, does it? It begins by apologising for not yet having reviewed our work which they patently have as we have been paid. I think it is just a mistake and should not have been sent to us, don't you?0 -
I've also had the same email although I think I've already been paid. And I definitely finished in time. Do you folks keep a note of the completion code yourselves? All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0
