I mentioned Distill a week or two ago as I heard it might work by setting it to monitor part of the page only instead of the full page, but it doesn't work as it doesn't alert when there is a new study.

How did you get Distill to work? Did you set it to monitor part of the page or the full page?

Gosh, Marvqn1, I wish I knew. My haplessness with tech is not faked, you know. I think it monitors the whole page because I could not seem to get it to do just part but have no idea what I did. I just clicked on things until I lost patience and gave up, honest! Maybe mikep can help.

I apologise for not remembering who mentioned Distill but it seems to be working for me. You could always try talking to it nicley, then threatening it; I left that part out but it sums up my relationship with technology. Sorry I can't be of more help.

I just had a look at the Distill page on Chrome Web Store. It says it was updated on 27th August so that might explain why it works for Prolific now.

What browser are you using Distill with?

Yep, it's part of new security restrictions they have put in place. See my previous comments in this thread.


I basically cannot do studies most of the time now. It seems to depend on the internet connection I'm using. Really stupid imo.

Perhaps they have a problem with people using more than one IP address. Have you asked them?
