The AI work has pretty much vanished for me now on Prolific. Luckily I'm getting AI work on Data Annotation but it would be nice to get some surveys on Prolific for a change of pace. It'll probably be quieter until the universities start the new school year though.

I've had a bit of AI work over the last 3 weeks or so, but it all seems to be trialling new style work flows and has been very glitchy and frustrating on and off.  They also seem to be limiting the number of participants who can be taking a study at any one time, so even if there are 100s of spaces available, you have to be on at the right time to see the study and get a place.

It's all at the lower rate as well, which with the $ exchange rate and Paypal taking its cut means it doesn't feel anywhere near as worth it for the extra hassle so I'm a bit meh about the ones I've done recently.

I miss when the exchange rate was good I was doing studies for £24 an hour. There seems to be quite a few AI studies that are not paying what they should be on Prolific now. Hopefully things will improve.
I would like to be able to choose between two well paying platforms. It's worrying being so dependent on just one when they can stop giving me tasks at any time.

I keep reporting the low paying studies, not that  it’s making much difference

Saw an AI study paying $5 for a 30 minute study earlier. That's crazy low for AI work but above the Prolific minimum.

I have some of the 15 minute video AI ones come up, but it’s quite late at night. It was after midnight last night. If it had been any longer than 15 minutes so I wouldn’t have done it. Paid $5, which is ok for quarter  of an hour - you don’t have to keep an eye on the time because they finish automatically.

  • Is anyone else having issues with the 15 minute 5 dollar AI Video tasks that are audio clips? They used to work fine for me but in the last few days every single one has let me listen to the audo clips on the first page and then the buttons to choose never activate. I've tried relistening to them multiple times or refreshing the page but no luck. I can't answer which I prefer so can't move onto the next page. The image or video versions still work ok for me but the audio ones have to be returned with a tech error reason every time.

I just had exactly the same thing this morning, and I've done them successfully previously.  I did notice that today's one said it wouldn't work with Firefox (which I use), so I'm guessing that might be the issue?  Hopefully it's just a one-off.

A plethora of AI studies have just popped up, right  at a time when I can’t do any of them.
    $20 an hour as well.

Anyone see the study from researcher auto pilot? Apparently it's a recruitment study for high paying AI training work but I'm in the study and it won't load. Maybe they'll fix it and reissue it but it might be worth checking out Prolific today if anyone is hoping to get more AI studies.
