I've been following SRA's directions for searching, but can't use the wildcard
I've been advised to use *, but when I searched on "digger*" (as I didn't know whether it would be Diggerland or Digger Land
) I got nothing. Searched again on "diggerland", and got loads of hits.
Has it changed?

I got plenty of results when I searched for digger*0 -
I've just been back to the Discount code board, and only get 2 posts for digger*, neither of which is Diggerland:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0

If you want diggerland search for diggerland.
:doh: Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
If you want diggerland search for diggerland.
I'm asking a general question, illustrating it with a specific example.
If you look back to post 1 I explain why.
Additionally, if I want information about citrus fruit, if I search on lemon, I'll miss all the hits which contain lemons. Using the wildcard search, one search should give results for both.:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
Hi Penny,
The wild card hasn't been working for me since the last site upgrade so I've found that you have to keep trying alternatives, plurals etc.
Sorry, not much help to you, but at least you know it's not just you.

Well said Penny, The wildcard search isn't working for me either, it can be really annoying, I thought it was my lack of technical ability, but obviously not on this occasion.
Expresso - go and grab a strong coffee, it reads at though you need it."Wisdom doesn't automatically come with old age. Nothing does, except wrinkles. It's true, some wines improve with age. But only if the grapes were good in the first place." — Abigail Van Buren0 -

Well I don't know what you are doing but just to prove that the wildcard search does actually work:
this is one of the threads picked from the lemon search list
Notice that only lemon & Lemon is highlighted in red on this search?
and this is the same thread picked from the lemon* search.
Notice that lemon, Lemon, lemons and lemonaid are all highlighted in red on this search?
Apology from you lovely ladies?
Merlot - the espresso was lovely thanks but it's you that needs one, not I. Obviously it is your lack of technical ability on this occasion!

Are you still having problems with wildcard searches ladies? Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

OT....Pen Pen Clear your inbox!!!
Why do you want an apology espresso?? The facility clearly works sometimes and not others. No need to be stroppy.0 -

The wildcard search (which I think all of us *luvverley laydeez* are using to search for threads) still isn't working.
Try an advanced search (titles only) on "lemons" and you'll find this thread (amongst others) - Why shares were lemons under new labour.
If you search on "lemon*" that thread is absent. This is the search I used. You will also notice that no title has "lemons" (or other variant).
Why exactly is an apology requested?:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0
