Hi,
I have been reading about the offer from Virgin to offer existing customers a free upgrade to a V6 box.
At present I have a Tivo box downstairs and a standard V+ HD box upstairs. Both of these have recordings on them. Will I lose them if I get V6 boxes or can I somehow put the recordings onto an external hard drive?
Thanks.

Just as I suspected - thank you!
I'll just have to get watching the recordings while awaiting the offer of the new V6 box in the post from VM! Lol.0 -
Think to only way possible is to play and record it in real time via the SCART
All due to copyright protection and restrictions placed on Virgin
Just found this on google

And this ..Read the last post

There is a section on the VM community help site for the V6 box if you have further questions. For example the new boxes come without a scart connector which does cause a problem for some set ups.

I've been a VM customer for about 8 years. Tv, broadband, and phone. We've never had a TIVO box, just the one that came before, that you can't record stuff on.
This topic caught my eye, so I've logged into my virgin media account, and there is no mention of this free upgrade. Even if I click on 'my offers', there is no mention of it?0 -

I searched online for the offer, and went into it that way. Yes, we qualify. So it's ordered, and should be delivered on February 3rd. Thought it might be an issue, if they were checking where I was posting from, as I'm away from home at the moment, but no problem. Confirmation email received too.0 -
