Thats exactly what I would do as well. Play them at their own game.
Have just ordered a load of toys to be delivered to store for pick up as didnt want to risk not getting what I wanted
You may want to double check this is OK- I remember when writing out all the stuff in the booklet that things ordered by telephone don't count. They don't however mention paying instore but they may see this as a 'separate' company (Like HMV online and HMV instore) ask first to save yourself additional hassle!0 -
How long does it take to recieve an e-code?
I have recieved a confirmation e-mail, but it only has an order No.
Is this the same thing?Nothing is foolproof, as fools are so ingenious!0 -
back to wine, if i double up, spend instore on this:
Tesco Finest Cotes Catalanes 75Cl
currently on offer as 2 for £10 instead of £6.99 each. £15 in points equals 6 free bottles of wine???0 -

Online yon can only exchange £10 worth of rewards, (i would advise not to spend your clubcards double up online due to issues tescos are having) But if you did exchange £15 (i had to exchange £30 online) worth of clubcard vouchers you would get £30 double up so you would get 6 free bottles.
I am waiting on my order today 7-7 I think if it arrives i have a good deal, I found out i had £25 un spent in clubcard vouchers, So i doubled £30 up and used the £60 towards payment online then i had a £10 off £50 spend free delivery online and all i had to pay was £4.04.Jan Wins: .0 -
nice one! Thank you!
Checked my points, and I've spent all mine so far (bar these £15, well £19, but £4 I can't double up) Hadn't thought of doing an online grocery order, off now to check my inbox of unused voucher codes etc....0 -

Thanks for the warning, I know how some companies try and operate,
I Ordered online, put in voucher codes and all accepted, so just need to collect from store as payment has been made0 -
For anyone thinking about going instore to exchange their vouchers and buy goods you may want to reconsider.
I called Cumbernauld this morning to check if the TV's which miraculoucly disappeared the other day had reappeared - after they confirmed they had 3 of the one I wanted in stock I ventured to the store with my clubcard vouchers in my sweaty palm.
74 minutes later I left the store with no exchange vouchers and no goods. They are having "intermittent" problems with the systems brought on by (in the words of their Store Manager) "ridiculous amounts of customers trying to swap vouchers. It would appear only 1 in say 6 or 7 customers is lucky enough for the till to work at the time they are there.
the other thing worth noting is that for customers who have ordered goods to collect (nothing to do with the clubcard exchange) they were being turned away and told they could only colleact between the hours of 4pm and 8pm due to the queues for exchange vouchers.
I can only hope that I have more success exchanging the vouchers online:(0 -
I can confirm that your experience seems pretty widespread. Although I have yet to receive my CC vouchers this time round, I've been in Tesco's several times this week and noticed on every occasion that either the system has been down altogether (for converting the vouchers), there has been a very long queue of people waiting to convert them, or the till has been intermittently crashing so that one customer got theirs fine but the next one didn't get theirs!
One good thing I would say about my Tesco is that they had 2 separate queues at the desk, one for Direct orders and the other dedicated to voucher conversions.0 -
Had no problems in getting to desk, or the computer allowing me to double up - my problem was the staff would only let me exchange in multiples of £10 instore for the wine deal
So in the meantime, have come away with nowt in the hope that I may get an ecoupon for online grocery shopping to make it worthwhile or I find something else worth doubling up for.
