Well spotted Umkomaas, he is in fact Henry M Greenslade, Lead Adjudicator of POPLA.

Oh jeez, I've done a forum search on the incorrect spelling and it's everywhere, like a nasty rash, in dozens of different cases. KeithP did pick someone up on it about 12 months ago.

Makes old Henry sound likes he's from the Orient! :)

Thank you I’ll add details on who Henry is. I have certainly read up on all the cases in my WS. Everything I have mentioned I have printed out the cases/info on them to add as appendix or exhibits along with my WS. I can’t believe how many hours I have spent on this to be honest - the defence and WS. I’m starting to think I should have just paid the fine as it’s so time consuming for people like myself who were pretty clueless before.
    Thanks for the replies.
  • Hi, I'm getting my witness statement pack together.

Where I mention past court cases in the WS to back up my arguments do I need to include copies of the judgments as an appendix? Also I am taking a copy of the IPC Guidelines which I was going to include as an appendix too. It seems a lot of photocopying/printing as I need 3 copies in total! So just checking it is the right thing to do?

    Thanks

Yes that is right and sadly it means a lot of printing. add that costs and your hours spent at £19 per hour LiP rate, to a hefty 3 figure costs schedule and file & serve that too.

See the NEWBIES thread examples of costs schedules, one was for £1500!

Only printo those bits that are actually relevant
So not the WHOLE code of practice, just the page or two (plus cover page to show the version etc) you need from each.

So I was expecting the witness statement/pack today from Gladstone’s as it’s the deadline...nothing in the post. Sent mine 3 days ago so it would be sure to arrive in time.

Do I just sit and wait to see if it arrives late? Or do I do something else? Thanks

  • Something else, such as call the court to see if they have received their copy? Contact Gladstone’s and ask where it is?

Still not received the witness statement from Gladstones.

Should I bring this up in court? Will it go against them in any way? Feeling annoyed.

you will probably end up getting via email (if they have yours) at the very last minute
if it is late then yes the court needs to be made aware , nothing to be annoyed about
