dispatch times and sales

I've just had an item marked as 'dispatched'. On Sunday evening. Yeah, right. I guess that it will be sent on Monday and arrive a few days after that.
Or even Tuesday, check if the envelope has a date stamp on a franking or postmark when it arrives and see when it actually went into the RM network

Tuesday wouldn't be a problem. Even though dispatch is listed as being 1 day (I checked.) It'd be dispatch in the latter half of the week that would have me thinking about reducing the number of stars.0 -
I was supporting your post.
Your reply seems to imply that you think I was disputing your post.
Could you please clarify what your reply means? As I can't see how it follows on from what I posted.
Apologies, yes I did misinterpret. My English is pretty good but sometimes I do miss the wit/sarcasm in a post.0 -

I would be extremely happy to place a large bet that your experience and method does not necessarily apply to all other eBay sellers.
It might come as a shock to some sellers posting here that there are hundreds of thousands of eBay sellers out there, they aren’t all on MSE, and they don’t all have the same procedures as you
.
I often get envelopes and parcels with franked markings, normal postmarked stamps and even the largish postage paid labels that are printed by the PO machine at PO counters.
I would say those 3 are more common than the preprinted type postage without a date.====0 -
Percentage wise I would suggest the opposite. Most big or long term sellers use some sort of business account or even click and drop and they are not franked, just scanned. Likewise most post offices now use machine printed labels. On the very rare occasions I get an eBay package that has been franked it is because the sellers has stuck stamps on it, which is incredibly rare now.
When you buy postage at the P.O. counter and their machine prints the postage label the date is on the label.
Here’s an example:

Was that a shot at irony that I missed?
Did you see the date on your image? 2009.
Click and drop, OBA, DMO, ebay postage, shutl.....there's been something of a move forward since PO counters; even for the seller posting an item a week.0 -

I gather you don’t understand what an example means?
In fact, what does any of your rambling have to do with what the label a P.O. counter prints to attach to parcels looks like?
Those labels are exactly the same today, I posted something on Friday and it got an identical label attached by the P.O. the print was the same and included a date, just like the example...
Would you have preferred a slightly newer example?
Just so as not to confuse you too much further.example

Hold the presses!!!!!
Just for you, an example from 2017. You’ll see all the details (like the DATE) are still present.
Amazing, hey?====0 -

I'm not confused, I'm just more up-to-date than you appear to be.
Perhaps take a look at click and drop or even buying your postage online. You don't need a PO counter anymore so your statement about checking postage dates isn't relevant.
BTW, how much more up-to-date is your second "slightly newer" example? 2015?. We are in 2018. But the point seems to have bypassed you entirely. PO counters are not the first call for people these days.0
