N Power (old rim liberty 100 meter problem)

I give reads a few times a week first number when I push 6 is day read and second is night. I’ve been paying 65 dd since June when I moved to n power and my account has always said dd fine but then December bill 9 dec to 15 jan was 144! I use the one storage heater only as it’s a 1 bed apartment. I wonder if I can send a screen shot of my reads? Just sounds so steep

My meter is connected to a proteus heating contractor and that all feeds into a big black box which all the apartments do

= 449 day and 810 night, 38 days = 12 day and 21 night.

Not an impossible amount. One large storage heater can use that. The day reading is a lot though. How is the water heated and timed ? Electric shower ?

Next question, what are you paying per unit and daily charge ?

Thank you - averaging your consumption for a month gives about £80 for the day units and £42 for the night - plus standing charge £12 plus VAT gives £139. (and this is for a month which includes Christmas)

So your £144 DD is quite in order.

So why is your daytime consumption so high ? Long showers ?

You say a single storage heater - is there also an immersion heater ?


Going back to earlier questions what was your consumption while with Eon ?

Now your Smart meter is Dumb are your nPower meter bills based on Estimated readings (its not unknown for suppliers to reject consumer readings !)

Tariff is the online fix ending dec 2018. It’s something like 7.8p night 13p day 28p standing charge.

Water is heated by a megaflo high efficiency boiler electric. It is heated off peak.

Eon consumption below:

Day - 0000118 to 0000146 between 2nd to 22nd June
Night - 0000261 to 0000262 same as above which is weird

18p day
8 night
24p standing

Start of may to start of June used 118 kwh day 262kwh night?

I have n power coming on the 29thto check the meter.

When I turn the mains off the Liberty 100 meter doesn’t flash so I don’t think anyone else is connected unless they could’ve connected to just the off peak.
