i havent used that many but because they've all merged into just a few companies i'm finding it hard to find anymore free rental trials which i'll be eligible for.
so far i've used LoveFilm, Screen Select, Blockbuster, DVDS365, and Cinema Paradiso. its given me a few free months just about but i cant find anymore
i'm going to have to move house and credit card details before i can get them again

I use the Tesco DVD rental. If you sign up for a 14 day trial before 10am on 27/05/05 (tomorrow morning!), they'll give you a free DVD of 'Cats And Dogs.' I don't know if this is a great DVD, but they do this offer quite often, so if you hold off for a week or two, you might be able to get a different title free. Click here to be brought to the DVD rental website.
Hope this helps!0 -
Here is a link that i used - it is a forum/webpage listing all the free trials giving reviews of the service they provide, length of trial etc. scroll down the page a bit to get the list. I have found it v useful. hope you do...

i cant do that one because its run by LoveFilm, thanks for the suggestion though. this is the dilemma i have, although there appears be many out there they are actually the same people just trading under different names.0

Tip for blockbuster rental... Just adjust your postcode slightly eg if it was AB0 1CD then try AB01CD or put more spaces in and they treat it as a different address (3 of us had blockbuster on the go at once in our uni house last year, poor postman!!). Might need to sign up with a different name and/or CC# as well.
All this is assuming you can stand the level of customer 'service' you get from them however.0 -
Hi, had my first selection of dvds sent to me today from fivedvd.co.uk. However one of them sent was not on my rental queue, does anyone know if they compensate you in anyway for this?0

Have just seen GLOBALRENTALS mentioned on Rpoints - have tried them?

I gave GLOBALRENTAL a go a few months ago, not bad, a bit slow (and ive experienced all the rest!) and over all a 'cheap' feeling product. But it was free and i think i recieved about 10-12 dvds.Ta0

Lucky you, when I tried Global virtually all the discs they sent were badly scratched and wouldn't play. Reading around on here, this doesn't seem at all unusual for Global. I also twigged early on that if you mark the 'disc faulty' box on the return envelope it takes ages for the disc to show as returned on your account. When my trial was about to expire I had two faulty discs but sent them back unmarked because I knew they'd charge me a month's rental while they 'examined' them.
I recommend you think carefully before trying them!0
