Regular Saver Thread **New and Restarted**

I went into my branch of Nottingham BS today to get my passbooks updated and I also said I would like to open a Sunshine Regular Saver. To my surprise I was seen straightaway, no appointment needed. As an existing customer, the set up was completed in under ten minutes, no problems. I was not given any sales talk, they did not try to push any other products. Account opened with £10 cash, to be topped up online. I was advised to set up my SO for the 1st of August. job done.0

Depends what you mean by a flexi current account. The FlexAccount needs funding by £750 but it doesn't pay interest and you say that your interest rate dropped so I am guessing you have a FlexDirect which doesn't need £750
- hold a FlexOne, FlexStudent, FlexDirect or FlexPlus account, OR
- hold a FlexAccount and:
- have been paying in £750+ a month for the last 3 months (excluding transfers from any Nationwide account held by you or anyone else)

Unhappy Ted.
How to I set up a SO for this account, online it just lists my account number, so sort code (or do they use a generic acc/SC number and the ref is my account number)?0 -
Best to get the info from their site:

Thanks both - I thought they would have had this at the end of the application like Virgin do.0

How to withdraw money from Leeds BS RS 5?
1. Visit a branch
2. Send off a withdrawal request form in the post
3. Login to your LeedsBS internet account and send a "secure message" requesting a withdrawal. One of the options for a secure message is an electronic version of the postal Withdrawal/Closure form so this eliminates the postal delay.
Number three should be the fastest if you can't get to a LeedsBS branch - it worked for my partner. But what to do if the button to send a secure message isn't visible on the account page? (It should be visible on the righthand side of the screen below the "Contact Us" option.) That's my current problem and I'm awaiting a response from the Leeds.......
Update: I've spoken to customer support at LeedsBS. Their IT team has acknowledged that there is a problem with the "Send us a secure message" option not displaying for some users. There is no date for when it is expected to be fixed.0 -
I thought they would have had this at the end of the application like Virgin do.
At the end of the application, you're asked how your want to fund the new account:
debit card / bank transfer / post a cheque.
If you select bank transfer, a screen appears with the details of the LeedsBS bank sort-code, account number and the reference number you must use (it's the account number of your new account). You'll also get an email with the same details.0 -

I received a letter informing me of an internet link to inform them of my maturity options. I completed and the matured funds were in my linked account today. I never read the letter properly last year and was surprised I couldn't just move the money out online when it matured. I had to ring them to sort it out."Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"0
