Could you please add the postcode restrictions for Stafford Railway BS RS Issue 1? From the Key Facts:

“You must live within the following postcode areas to be eligible for this account. ST14 – ST21, WS11 – WS13 or WS15.”

I just checked it here a few minutes ago.
    https://srbs.co.uk/savings/faqs/

    and here
    https://srbs.co.uk/savings/regular-savings-issue-1/

I have not found that restriction. I myself and quite a few people on this thread are not living in any of the above postcode but we managed to open these account.

They might change it in the future.

It is restricted, as per the last paragraph:

How do I open and manage my account? • The account can be opened in branch or by post and is available to private individuals only, and only for UK residents.
    • It is a passbook based account and can be operated in branch or by post at the members own expense.
    • The minimum opening balance is £25.
    • Deposits can be made up to a maximum £500 per month.
    • A deposit of between £25 and £500 must be received each month.
    • If you miss 3 deposits in a Society year your account will revert to our Pullman account.
    • Deposits to this account must come from your nominated bank account via standing order.
    • If you don’t make a deposit during a month you cannot carry over the unused subscriptions.
    • We do not accept transfers in of balances held with other providers. Your initial deposit can only be between £25 and £500.
    • You must live within the following postcode areas to be eligible for this account. ST14 – ST21, WS11 – WS13 or WS15.

No problem with my application for the new Furness BS 2.5% RS in Preston today. Didn't try to sell me other products, good clear information and the passbook should be with me by post within a week.

p.s. Preston branch personnel all seem to have big grins on their faces with the amount of footfall this RS offer has generated in the first two days … or maybe they are just always friendly :)

Opened mine today and as Bobblehat says good clear information however, I was made aware of their Pocket Money Saver account and benefits of this when grandchildren came into the conversation so came away with leaflet on that ;)

Thanks. I could see it now.
When I applied Unfortunately I did not print the FAQ so I could not see whether that restriction was already there or not. But I managed to print the KPI. Also the current KPI still has not shown this restriction. Someone might want to try and report their result here.

Did anyone who got this product managed to print the old FAQ (if any) ?

If by KPI you mean 'Key Facts' then your are mistaken.

It does indeed show the postal code restriction.

FAQs may not include this restriction but they aren't the terms & conditions.

Thanks for the heads up. Indeed it is now showing in the new Key Fact. When I checked it I checked the copy of my Keyfact (old Key Fact) when I applied this statement

"You must live within the following postcode areas to be eligible for this account. ST14 – ST21, WS11 – WS13 or WS15.

    is NOT there.

So it is apparently this new restriction was added in Key Fact and FAQ very recently.

A few minutes after somsman copied & pasted it from the key facts, you said that you checked it & said it (still) wasn't there.

So maybe you're mistaken about your assertions that it wasn't there when you applied?

I think that the general feeling is that the terms have been amended. This is the most likely scenario as this small society would have noted a deluge of applications.

It was amended after January 8, 2020 so very recently.

Yes, I'm sure that you are correct. If you take a look at their account applications form you will note that it is dated 9 January 2020. I'm not sure, without wading through all of it, whether this document makes any direct reference to the points raised here. But it does show that they have actively made amendments over the past few days!

I'm an existing member/customer but nowhere near the midlands, emailed and got no reply.
I sent my application off anyway, will reply here when I get either the passbook, or my application returned.
