I tried the Bolton branch which is 8 miles from me but they wouldn't open the account, it wasn't for this issue though so i may try again.0

Just confused with the online option. Can anyone confirm please.
I too couldn't sort out anything online. Couldn't follow the guidance they tried to give me on the phone, there was something about no nominated account on my account, so I wrote and posted a letter with my instructions and the passbook. How very 20th century
(The cost of postage horrifies me whenever I use it)

Preston branch of Furness did mention in passing that the previous RS did have restrictions on postcode but not this RS. I'll post here if any problems tomorrow that are of general interest to the thread.0 -
Answer to Southcoast01.
I had the same problem. Resolved by phoning Saffron. They amended online access to allow maturity options of transfer of first monthly subscription of £250 to new regular saver and transfer of the residual maturity amount to nominated account.
Please note you may have to amend or cancel standing order depending on how it was set up initially for the remainder of the 11 payments to this fixed term account.
Kind regards, RSNut
I had exactly the same problem in September last year, and they claimed they had fixed it...

Just rang Cov and they say definitely only one allowed. "May have been an issue with our website. Any 2nd ones will be closed and refunded"

Regular Saver (2)
2.50 %
AER*/Gross p.a.
(Variable)
£500 per month same terms and conditions as their first regular saver.
Really pleased my husband and I with now be earning a decent rate on monthly deposits totalling £2000. (2 regular savers each of £500)
Apologising in advance if somebody finds the original post for it but noticed it was not included in updates by Special_Saver2

Arrrrrggggghhhh.
Sorry. It had to be said!:mad::mad:0 -
These were previously issued every two months. Branch i20 was 1/10/19 so if there were to be an i20 it should have been on 1/12/19.
ESaver i13 was 1/11/19 so following the pattern this would be early January. Perhaps 2.00 pm tomorrow.
Well the bad news is that it hasn't materialise (yet).
The good news is that this meant this thread wasn't Virgin hijacked (yet).0
