Just rang Cov and they say definitely only one allowed. "May have been an issue with our website. Any 2nd ones will be closed and refunded"

Regular Saver (2)
2.50 %
AER*/Gross p.a.
(Variable)
£500 per month same terms and conditions as their first regular saver.
Really pleased my husband and I with now be earning a decent rate on monthly deposits totalling £2000. (2 regular savers each of £500)
Apologising in advance if somebody finds the original post for it but noticed it was not included in updates by Special_Saver2

Arrrrrggggghhhh.
Sorry. It had to be said!:mad::mad:0 -
These were previously issued every two months. Branch i20 was 1/10/19 so if there were to be an i20 it should have been on 1/12/19.
ESaver i13 was 1/11/19 so following the pattern this would be early January. Perhaps 2.00 pm tomorrow.
Well the bad news is that it hasn't materialise (yet).
The good news is that this meant this thread wasn't Virgin hijacked (yet).0 -
No problem with my application for the new Furness BS 2.5% RS in Preston today. Didn't try to sell me other products, good clear information and the passbook should be with me by post within a week.
You don't need to have the passbook updated if you make the monthly deposit by faster payments, as you can check if the deposit has registered 2 or 3 days later using the online facility …. or ring up to confirm.
All in all …. no problems.
p.s. Preston branch personnel all seem to have big grins on their faces with the amount of footfall this RS offer has generated in the first two days … or maybe they are just always friendly0 -
I managed to open this account in less than a week. No further ID address check is needed. Impress how efficient they are
Based on this
https://srbs.co.uk/savings/regular-savings-issue-1/
"Deposits to this account must come from your nominated bank account via standing order"
I just check my application form I did not see any nominated bank account was asked.
I payed by a cheque for my first deposit from Lloyds Bank. But I set up SO from TSB.
Is it going to be a problem ??
Does Anyone know how do they know which AC/bank is your nominated account.

@Adindas - Their postal ID requirements were what was putting me off opening one of these accounts, if they wanted FOUR certified copies of paper id. Assuming you did a postal application did they verify your id electronically?0 -

@ Big W
When I applied, I didn't even send any form of ID, proof address. Also I have not got any product with them. I only sent a completed application form a cheque on my name. So iI fully believe it was all done online.
Online verification from BS could be hit and miss.
Have a try, you could download AF online. you have very little to lose apart from postage stamp and little time to complete AF.
Be quick as I have been informed when I called them that this product is very popular and it will be closed for a new application soon.
If they asked four certified ID, any person with money sense would cancel their application.0 -

Thanks Adindas - I shall indeed get on with an application sharpish .0
