Looks like the Monmouthshire Celebration Regular saver @ 3% has been pulled.
Lucky for me I managed to get to an agency 50mins away in Hereford two days ago and opened one, plus they have a 2.5% regular saver which I also got my hands on and that one is still available.I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.0 -
Monmouthshire Buiding Society
I opened the 3% Celebration RS when it was, briefly, available online last April. Good move.
I thought I had overlooked the 2.5% one but I see that it is branch only0 -
Hi Folks,
Here is this weekend's update.
- Monmouthshire BS Celebration Regular Saver Bond withdrawn and removed from the list
- Principality BS Christmas 2020 Regular Saver Bond withdrawn and removed from the list
- Saffron BS 170th Birthday Regular Saver withdrawn and removed from the list
- Staffordshire Railway BS account added and I have also noted that it is possible to have one account in a sole name and one account in joint names
I will do the next update next weekend.

Any news about Virgin Regular E-saver i14 or Branch i20 ??
ESaver i13 was 1/11/19 so following the pattern this would be early January. Perhaps 2.00 pm tomorrow.0 -

I tried to open an account with them recently and they were only accepting local post code residents only and it was within 5 miles of the branch, not sure if they have changed that.0 -
I have received my maturity instructions for my saffron BS regular saver. Tried to submit online but only gives option to transfer full balance to issue 4, while if I print the paper form I can transfer max £250 to issue 4 and request the remainder as a cheque.
Just confused with the online option. Can anyone confirm please.0 -

This account is available to UK residents and there is no postcode restriction. Our accounts are up and running and we live more than 20 miles away in a different post code area.
Account can also be opened at an agency.

As Karlie said …. no postcode restriction on this issue. I just booked an appointment for tomorrow at the Preston branch and live over 25 miles away, beyond the Preston PR postcode range. I can easily get to Preston (free!) from where I live …. so no bother!
Preston branch CS said it's been really popular on the first day and advised me to book a slot sooner rather than later …. other branches may differ, so might be worth a quick phone call to check.
Thanks Karlie0 -
Answer to Southcoast01.
I had the same problem. Resolved by phoning Saffron. They amended online access to allow maturity options of transfer of first monthly subscription of £250 to new regular saver and transfer of the residual maturity amount to nominated account.
Please note you may have to amend or cancel standing order depending on how it was set up initially for the remainder of the 11 payments to this fixed term account.
Kind regards, RSNut0
