I opened a Coventry RS yesterday as a brand new customer. Electronic checks must of been carried out as I was given an account number and sort code with which to make the first deposit. Now waiting for my login details to be sent in the post.0

Fortunately made a provisional appointment a few weeks ago, but had to insist... to get oneFree thinker.:cool:0 -
Do you have an update on this please?
Same has happened to OH. I'm hoping it's just a print off of the form with a signature required rather than original/certified ID docs required.
I have not yet received anything from Coventry. When I logged on to my accounts yesterday nothing was showing either. I'll probably phone them if nothing in tomorrow's post.0 -
I always send them a secure message if I have a problem and they either ring me or answer my query with a reply in my account inbox. They send an email to you when they have answered your query."Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"0

I opened a Coventry Regular Saver yesterday. It said account details would be sent in the post. I registered for online banking at the same time, and it said my log in username would be sent in the post. So I clicked on 'forgot user ID', it asked me password / security questions I had set up when registering for online, and it told me my username. So I logged on and my account details were there.I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?0

This didn't work for me, it said I needed a 'grid card' which was in the post.0 -
HSBC have followed First Direct and reduced their regular saver to 2.75% for all customers. So next year will downgrade account to a normal current account once existing 5% regular savers mature.0

Unluckily my 5% First Direct Regular Saver matures later this month, but I will still take a 2.75% as that's still a good rate in the current environment.
I was surprised these 5% rates had been around for so long!
My Magic Money tree seems to be shedding leaves for winterRetired 1st July 2021.
This is not investment advice.
Your money may go "down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... I got all tricked up and came up to this thing, lookin' so fire hot, a twenty out of ten..."0 -

I find the omission of the RS from the email to be rather sneaky on the part of HSBC.0
