Yes, I don't even bother to look at Regular Savers paying 2% or less, as I know I can get a better return by putting the same lump sum into a 1-year fixed rate bond, or a notice account. Anything over 2% is worth looking at. Different if the RS is being funded from income, rather than a lump sum, of course.

Nice to not have to commit to any regular deposits and can make them ad hoc, as most of our cash is tied up in notice accounts and other RSs.

What about easy access RSA such as Lloyds Monthly Saver 2.0% or BOS monthly saver paying 2.0% ??

How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)

The Al Rayan Everyday Saver, 1.6% predicted profit, might be suitable for some as a Feeder account, since it offers Standing Orders.

I have just started using it myself with my new Coventry RS.

EDIT: A small health warning about their SOs: you can't set an SO start date more than 28 days in the future. Odd.
  • Thank you for the heads up, have opened one for my husband and I, we already have ISA's with them. I can't remember Coventry BS having Regular Savers before, could be wrong as in the past I may have not been looking for them.
