Hi
a family member runs a Ltd company (office work) where company address is from home, but registered address also their home.
Getting fed up with all the junk mail etc.
Is there a service provider where the company registered address can be changed to as a mail box drop, rather than the home address?
thanks

As you probably know, you require a registered address for a limited company as a location where legal notices may be served upon that company.
There are many different alternatives available, including mailboxes, mail forwarding services, etc, but you will still get the same junk mail ... just later when you pick up the mail, or it is forwarded to you, etc.
If you want someone to filter the mail, it sounds like you probably need a secretary. You can either buy secretarial services (if you don't care who reads all the company's mail) or you can employ your own secretary.
If you are receiving junk mail you do not want, you can contact the sender directly and ask them to stop and be removed from their mailing list (which they should then do)0 -
Yes, but I'd be more concerned that your home is liable for the debts of this company!
Why???
Many people opt to use their accountant's address as the registered office of their limited company (with the full knowledge and permission of their accountant - additional fees may apply) - do you think that makes the accountant personally liable for the debts of the company?
Or that the accountant's office (which may be rented anyway) could be used to settle debts of their customer???0 -
Seems a bit extreme. Just bin it.No longer a spouse, or trailing, but MSE won't allow me to change my username...0

rubbish.... liability has nothing to do with registered office address
I didn't mean that the Op would be liable,
BUT if the business is registered there, any bailiff / HCEO will also be carried out there. An unnecessary stress, especially since HCEO can force entry into commercial premises.0 -

I simply meant that any enforcement action would now be carried out at their home!0
