Can someone please tell me what I need to do to connect my phone to my smart TV so that I can see photos/videos on my TV. Both phone and TV are able to connect to my router via wifi. In fact, if I go on utube on my phone, I can select 'casting', which sends the utube video to my TV, although I can view utube direct from my TV. I've tried everything, except of course right solution. Not sure if the only way is with a USB cable. Any help please.

can you also not cast from your photo gallery?"The Holy Writ of Gloucester Rugby Club demands: first, that the forwards shall win the ball; second, that the forwards shall keep the ball; and third, the backs shall buy the beer." - Doug Ibbotson0

On phone go to settings>display>cast (WiFi needs to be connected)
Set this up to connect to your TV
TV will now display whatever is on your phone screen (mirroring).
Open photo gallery on your phone etc.0 -

Sorry to come back to this, but I'm still having problems!! I tried doing what DavidFx suggested, but when I press 'cast', I get 'no nearby devices found' I switch MIRACAST on my TV, and I get a similar msg on the TV. I been reading some more on this, and I'm not sure if I need Chromecast or Roku. Am I able to cast the phone screen to the TV with wifi and nothing else or do I need another piece of hardwareBefore doing something... do nothing0

I have an LG TV and a Samsung Galaxy. I downloaded the LG TV app (free) and then it found the TV (Wi-Fi has to be enabled on phone and TV) and away I went.0

if you can cast youtube you should be able to cast with google photos app."The Holy Writ of Gloucester Rugby Club demands: first, that the forwards shall win the ball; second, that the forwards shall keep the ball; and third, the backs shall buy the beer." - Doug Ibbotson0 -
