Are there any party plan companies that dont make you commit to a certain amount of parties eg bodyshop want 4 parties in first 4 weeks
Hi MillieCat, i think Companies that ask you to commit to a certain number of parties do have your own interest at heart as the sooner you start the sooner you will be earning some money. There are a few that don't ask you to commit i believe, one of those that i kow about is the Company i am with that sells eco-friendly household products, toiletries and cosmetics, there is no commitment because Party Plan is just one of 12 different ways they suggest we can sell and being our own boss we can choose or try all different ways to find one that is comfortable.
I would always suggest that if you join any Company that you try and get started as soon as possible to make yourself some money asap so commiting to a certain number of Parties isn't actually a bad idea in my opinion. We love what we are doing and we love why we're doing it!!0 -
hello milliecat.
I looked into alot of different party planning as i am a full time mum needed to boost my income and work around my babies
as you say alot require alot of commitment..usually financial
I now am an avon sales leader, i started avon last january so about 14 months ago, i started off just delivering brochures to houses and friends and family.
I then decided to try partiesi ordered some stock to demonstrate...not too much just enough. i had a very succesful 1st party and now have 3 more booked. those earnings on top of my regular customers etc earnt me 140 pound not bad for about 10 hours work in 3 weeks
.
i sound liek an ad for avon lol, im not just a mum trying to make some money.0 -
I sell Pampered Chef products, by going to people's homes to do cooking shows. The guests all get to join in, share recipes, eat the food and order if they wish. I love the whole ethos of the job. You pay £110 for your starter kit and earn a starting pay of around £50-60 an evening. :rotfl:
Great fun and great pay!0 -
Hi all, ok can someone please let me know of a few party plan / work from home ect, that do not charge to start up, or are not to much to start up,
Thank you so much in advance
You can start up with Wikiniko for just £48 which compared to the other Companies i have tried in the past is much better and for that you get your own website for online sales, a superb online home office with all the tools you need to get going including online training, a starter pack and a few brochures to start you off showing friends and family. The products are eco-friendly household products, toiletries and cosmetics, commission is starting at 33%, again much better than any of the others i have tried.
Party Plan is just one of the various ways you can choose to retail the products, probably the cosmetics, toiletries would be a good idea for Party Plan and have some of the other products as well. Many people choose brochure dropping or attending craft fairs etc.
I personally find this easier to sell because i know that we will all eventually have to change our way of thinking eventually in terms of damage to the environment and chemicals in toiletries etc.We love what we are doing and we love why we're doing it!!0 -

Hi, I'm also looking to start with a company with no start up cost.
However i wouldn't mind doing more parties to meet targets to pay for the kits ect..
I personally feel a little worried about paying to start up & not being able to get enough parties / order's to refund my pocket.
Plus other then 2 companies: Body shop @home & Avon - The rest look like scams.
Future goals:
Become debt free.
Beat Depression.
Be happy & healthy0 -
Me & OH tried kleeneze at the start of last year and we didn't manage to break even, even when we sold the remainder of the brochures on ebay to get back some of the money! I think definately research whatever company you are interested with thoroughly, and work out how much it will cost you, so that you know how much you need to sell before you can make a profit. We started avon at the same time, and it suits us much better, which is why we are still with them, no up front costs and no delivery charges etc which caught us out with kleeneze. And make sure whatever company you go with - that you like their products, hard to sell something if you don't like it yourself!Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

I do party plan, and I think you sometimes have to try a few to find out what suits you. There's no point in selling products you don't/won't use or believe in.
Most companies you do have to pay for your kit, but it depends on whether they want you to pay now or work until you've sold enough to cover your kit.I get paid to smell great :j0 -
Hi PRINCESSX87
I am a Body Shop consultant and start up cost is just 40 for a kit worth over 150. Of course you do your first 4 parties and this helps you to get up and running
However if you are looking for something that costs you nothing to start hunny have a look at Party Lite which has no start up cost at allI have a friend who does it if that helps also
I did Party Lite and loved it but realised that Body Shop was more for me of which I was still on record as a consultantAs someone mentioned on here sometimes you have to try a few before you find the one that's right for you
Hope this helps and good luck

I started as an Independant Consultant with Neals Yard Remedies two months ago - the start up costs are £95 - for a kit worth over £200, and you do not have to commit to a certain number of parties in a set number of weeks. I've reached level 3 (having 4+ parties and sold over £700) within my first 2 months and have received rewards of £35 and now £55 - plus of course my commission of 25%.
I'm enjoying it immensely - lovely products, lovely people.
I can't post referral links - am rubbish at that (!) but let me know if you'd like further details !
(Not sure whether I can add the link or not - so if I've overstepped the mark by so doing, Mods and you have to remove it, I do apologise!)0
